RUSH: Here’s Tanya in Eddy, Texas. Tanya, I really appreciate your patience, and welcome to the program.

CALLER: Oh, thank you. No problem. I’ve enjoyed sitting here listening to you.

RUSH: I appreciate that. I really do.

CALLER: My grandmother and my dad forever have been sitting here reading your book on his Nook, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims.

RUSH: Oh, yes.

CALLER: And my grandmother has figured out through her — she’s been doing genealogy research for the last, oh, who knows, 50, 60 years, and she is the eighth great granddaughter of Governor William Bradford.

RUSH: No way.

CALLER: Yes, which makes me the tenth. (laughing)

RUSH: No way.

CALLER: Yes way. Yes absolute way. And she’s also the ninth great granddaughter —

RUSH: Wait, your grandmother.

CALLER: — of Edward Winslow.

RUSH: Your grandmother is the eighth great-granddaughter of William Bradford, that would make you the tenth, obviously?

CALLER: Yes, that makes me the tenth. Isn’t that exciting?

RUSH: Well, it is.

CALLER: Yes, but I’ll tell you what’s exciting to me is that there’s only a few people who could be related to William Bradford, and you happen to listen to this program.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: That’s what blows me away. What are the odds of that? That’s just phenomenal.

CALLER: It’s very exciting to me. I mean, when I was in third grade, my grandmother did a school (loss of audio) on the Mayflower and she made out the pedigree chart of how we were related to everybody, and of course it bored me to tears when I was in third grade, but I’ve grown to become very interested in it over the last 30 something years. (laughing)

RUSH: Well, I know, third grade, you don’t care about any of that stuff, but now it’s —

CALLER: Just tell me how to get an A.

RUSH: Well, now it’s a matter of great pride. That is just amazing.

CALLER: Absolutely. Her and my dad both wanted you to know, the chart that you have in the back of the book that the shows the city map —

RUSH: Yes.

CALLER: — and has the name of the streets, and —

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: — where Edward Winslow was staying, his little plot of land and Bradford’s plot of land and Cooke’s plot of land, that all three of them, they’re related to each other by that, all three of our ancestors were there together.

RUSH: Isn’t that just amazing.

CALLER: It is. It’s absolutely amazing.

RUSH: See, I thought you were gonna compliment my map.

CALLER: Well, go ahead. Go ahead.

RUSH: (laughing) No, you know, I’m an ego freak. I think everything’s about me. I’m just kidding. I’m just taunting the left there. I’m just blown away by this.

CALLER: I’m glad I could blow you away. From what I hear — I listen to your show when I come out here and sit with my grandmother and stuff — it’s not easy to blow you away, so I’m kind of proud of me. (laughing)

RUSH: Well, wait a minute, you only listen to the program you come up there to see your —

CALLER: Well, I can’t lie, I listen to it, yes, when I’m here, and near a radio when I’m at home, so —

RUSH: Okay. So you do listen to the show at home. Okay.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: All right. Well, Tanya, I’m appreciative that you got through.

CALLER: Me, too.

RUSH: And I really appreciate your waiting.

CALLER: Oh, you’re welcome. You’re welcome. It wasn’t bad because I love listening to you, the Obama funny things, I had a nice time sitting here laughing at it while I was listening to it.

RUSH: Speaking of that, I can’t recall ever in my lifetime a president who just rejoiced in quoting critics of this country, who just got off on it, and he clearly does. Just astounding. But Tanya, thank you again very much.
