RUSH: Here is Sean in Arlington, Texas. It’s great to have you here, sir. Hi.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. It’s great to talk to you.
RUSH: Thank you very much.
CALLER: I got a question for you. Why do you think it is that liberals always want to insert the government into areas of the private sector that they don’t belong, like health care and buying automobile companies and things like that, but then, on the other hand, they want to outsource things that the government has a responsibility to do and actually does well, like provide embassy security in Libya.
RUSH: Well, excellent question. The first answer is power. Ask yourself this. After four years, why in the world is Barack Obama, of all Americans, in charge of Americans’ health care? Why? What is his experience? What’s his education? What does he know? What are his talents? What are his abilities? The answer is zip, zero, nada. Why is Barack Obama involved? Did you hear that he wants to open a new cabinet-level department? Secretary of business. I kid you not. Secretary of business. We already have a secretary of commerce. It’s power. It’s pure hubris, arrogance, power. They know better than you do. As to why they outsource protection, security, at an embassy? Inherent distrust of the US military. Inherent distrust of the military. Inherent distrust of average Americans, distrust of the private sector.
