Will Leftists Riot If Romney Wins?

by Rush Limbaugh - Oct 4,2012

RUSH: Fairfield, California, it’s Mike, and I’m glad you waited, Mike. Welcome to the EIB Network.

CALLER: Greetings, and mega Big Bird California kudos.

RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.

CALLER: First, let me give you my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all that you do, Mr. Limbaugh.

RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.

CALLER: It’s been quite entertaining this morning watching the reactions to the big bird that Mr. Romney flipped to the liberals and the media last night.

RUSH: (laughing)

CALLER: May I make a quick comment on last night and then I have a question for you.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: I kind of liken Obama’s reactions and demeanor last night to a predator drone, if you can follow this. They’re built and programmed to perform a mission, but if they run into a situation that doesn’t meet their computer program, it just kind of defaults back to flying in circles. My question to you is, you touched on something last week that’s been a concern of mine, and with all the polls being manipulated and showing this huge lead for Obama, particularly in the battleground states —

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: If and when Romney is elected —

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: — what do you think the reaction on the streets will be, particularly in the large urban areas.

RUSH: Well, depends on what the final week polls are. If the final week poll has Obama winning by ten in Ohio and Romney wins it, you got riots. If the polls tighten and they get real close, then I don’t — it was a legitimate question somebody asked because these people, if they’re told, these rabid leftists, if they are told this a slam dunk and it’s over, and Romney wins this thing, it could get bloody out there. But if the polls are tight in the last week, then I think there’s less likelihood of any kind of violent reaction.

CALLER: I tend to agree.

RUSH: Are you worried about that? Are you worried about riots and fires and mayhem and so forth.

CALLER: I am concerned that there would be some sort of civil unrest. As to the size of it, that’s unanswerable at this point, of course.

RUSH: Well, it’s good to be prepared, good to be prepared. I think if there happened to be — let’s just pretend here. Let’s say that the polls are not slam dunk. I mean they’re not landslide, but they’re pretty solid that Obama wins. But Romney wins. Well, who’s gonna be responsible for this? Who would be responsible for any outbreak in what you called civil unrest? For example, in Libya, it was a videotape. A videotape in California caused the civil unrest in Libya. Well, obviously it would be the pollsters. You’d have to blame the pollsters. They would be the ones responsible for this. I wonder how they would feel about that, if that happened. We don’t want to contemplate such things. But it’s simply a question born of an acknowledgement that Occupy Wall Street is not exactly a nonviolent bunch. Occupy Wall Street is not a bunch of pacifists out there.
