RUSH: You look at the exit poll data from Super Tuesday: Women, to 75%, economy’s number one, economy’s number two, economy’s number three.
Contraception didn’t even matter to women voters on Super Tuesday.
So the regime needs a diversion. They need something like they did this last week. They need a demon. They always must have a demon. They must have a focus of evil. I suspect their new one is (dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut!) Sarah Palin. Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama — or a PAC, I forget which (I’m not sure; I’ve got the sound bite in here and I’ll get to it before the program ends) — is running an ad. Barack Obama is running a reelect ad against Sarah Palin, who is not running. So it’s time now for them to have a new demon. In this case, they’ve got to go back to the graveyard and dig Sarah Palin back up. And it’s bouncing off of the HBO movie, Game Change, which is all part of the plan.
It’s all part of a brilliantly conceived plan and what they hope will be a flawlessly executed plan. Now they’ve got the movie based on the book Game Change. They’ve made Palin and all these Republicans look like idiots. The heroes in that movie are the people who are portrayed as knowing Palin was the wrong choice and admitting that Palin’s stupid and all. Those are the two people that are the heroes in that movie. Palin is the new villain. They need her for the rest of the week. She is gonna get her fair share of treatment here. They’re running an ad against her. And she’s not running. So they need their demon, they need a diversion, they need something to distract everybody from the economy and what a disaster Obama has been for it — and they may well go back to this.
The so-called Republican war on women is page two of the Democrat Party playbook. So they may well go back to it. They may very well convince themselves that the New York Times and Washington Post polls are wrong. They may ignore them. They may take a couple days off and then gin it all back up again. Who knows? But they’ll do something. It will be something along the order of, “This fill-in-the-blank Republican is the enemy of women, is the enemy of minorities, is the enemy of the poor; has got to be stopped, has got to be banned, has got to be shutdown.” The Democrat Party creates victims so that they can then portray themselves as heroes riding to the rescue.
The Democrat Party will run ads or have people go out and speak to, say, Hispanics or blacks about how they are being mistreated and about how life is horrible for them. They’ll blame it on the Republicans and then set themselves up as the saviors. They create nonexistent crises for the express purpose of creating, in their own minds, victims. Every day there’s a new one. They do this to set themselves up as the rescuer. “We,” Obama, the Democrat Party, “are the ones that care about you. The Republicans, they’re out to shaft you, screw with you, what have you. We’ve got to get rid of these Republicans! We have got to stop them. They are destroying your life,” or whatever. I have examples of this, too, coming up in the program.

RUSH: By the way, that Palin ad is not from an Obama super PAC. It is from Obama for America. It’s from his campaign. Barack Obama is running a reelection ad attacking Sarah Palin. They need the diversion. By the way, the movie Game Change, the HBO movie that premiered on Saturday night (that’s designed, once again, to castigate and destroy Sarah Palin all over again)? The same public relations firm representing Sandra Fluke represents Game Change. The same PR firm that handled Sandra Fluke’s episode is handling Game Change, and you know who it is? Anita Dunn, formerly of the White House! The Mao Tse-tung admirer, by her own admission. Anita Dunn, Obama’s former adviser, is the PR firm for the movie Game Change and for Sandra Fluke. It’s all part of a plan. It is not accidental. None of this stuff just happened. “Whoa, looky over there what just happened!” It’s all orchestrated.

RUSH: Okay, here’s the audio from the ad from Obama for America, Obama running for reelection against Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is not on the ballot, yet. She’s not running for anything. I’m looking here at the list. Do we have Palin reacting to this? Hang on just a second. I thought I read that we do, but maybe not. We don’t. Okay, on her Facebook page she reacted to this. Anyway, here’s the ad. And, by the way, this ad uses the same font and the same logos as the HBO movie Game Change, which debuted on Saturday night.
By the way, I’m in a great mood here, folks. I just got my shipping confirmation for my new iPad. It’s gonna be here on Friday, on time.
At any rate, same look as the movie Game Change, the HBO movie on the book. Same title, Game Change, made Palin out to be, you can imagine what. Here’s the Obama ad.
PALIN: Barack Obama has never been, I think, seen in the conventional, traditional way of we who would describe a man of valor. And his profession as a community organizer, what went into his thinking was this philosophy of radicalism. He is bringing us back, Sean, to days that you can hearken back to days before the Civil War. What Barack Obama seems to want to do is go back to before those days when we were in different classes based on income, based on color of skin. Why are we allowing our country to move backwards?
RUSH: It’s a 60-second ad, that’s 36 seconds of it. That’s a portion of the new ad. The rest of it is graphics and what Obama thinks of it all and so forth. She’s not running. This is exactly what they have to do. They have to come up with a villain. They have to have a demon, and it’s alternately me or Sarah Palin is the way this has been playing out. And they go back and forth, and they try alternately to take both of us out by hook or by crook, usually by crook. She’s not even on the ballot. She’s not even going to be the opponent. All they know how to do, Democrat Party playbook, page one, page two, war on women, Republicans are stupid, Sarah Palin’s a demon, what have you.
Now, let’s continue with the audio sound bites. Last night on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront, she spoke with Democrat strategerist Jamal Simmons about the new poll of Obama’s job approval rating. There are two, but this is the New York Times/CBS poll. The job approval rating for Obama is at an all-time low of 41%. Erin Burnett says to Jamal Simmons, “Another number I know you look at, non-college educated white people in the polls. Why is that so important to you and what do you see there for the president?”
SIMMONS: The president has never done particularly well with this group of voters. In the 2008 primaries he lost a lot of those voters to Senator Clinton, and again versus John McCain those weren’t the best voters for him, but again, it’s this number of women in particular that really matter for him, and he’s gotta really pay attention to that. He may not be able to make up a lot of ground when it comes to non-educated white men, but with white women he really can make up more ground. And I think we saw some of this issue around contraception and these other battles that have been going on.
RUSH: There it is. This is what the whole distraction on contraception’s been about. And after all of it, Obama’s at an all-time low. This CNN analyst, what he just said there was for Obama to win, he’s gotta do better with women because he’s given up on white middle-class men, which we also told you back in December when that column by Thomas Edsall ran in the New York Times. White working-class voters, Obama’s given up on ’em because they have not yet caved into the welfare system. They’re not part of the welfare state, give up on those people. And now this guy is saying he’s gotta do better with women. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. And that’s what all of last week was about, doing better with women.
That’s what this whole phony contraception stuff was all about when Stephanopoulos introduced it to the Republican presidential campaign in a January 7th debate with a question to Mitt Romney. I think, folks, it’s safe to say based on the polling data from the New York Times, Washington Post, it has backfired. You know it’s backfired because I am still here, triumphing each day behind the Golden EIB Microphone.

RUSH: Now, there’s a possibility here that we have to consider on Obama going after Palin. That is this: When the HBO movie Game Change was written and in production, the Democrats may have seen Palin as a potential candidate, given the Republican field. They may have thought she might end up getting in the race and win it. They are scared to death of Sarah Palin. And for those of you new to the program, understand one thing: The Democrat Party will always tell us who they fear by virtue of who they try to destroy. If they thought Sarah Palin was actually this stupid fool idiot they’d be laughing at her and making fun of her. They would not be afraid of her. There would be no need to destroy her if she were all those things that they claim she is.
She would destroy herself. It would take care of itself. They wouldn’t have to further it along. Same thing with me. So they may have thought when they were writing and producing Game Change that she could end up in the race, maybe end up getting the nomination. And maybe they’re thinking if there is a brokered convention, that she could emerge then. So this could be a preemptive strike on a woman who is essentially a private citizen. Ahem. Ahem. Ahem. So that’s what this could be. Sarah Palin could very well be that, ladies and gentlemen. You just never know. By the way, Michael Steele, the former Republican National Committee chairman, was on TV somewhere (I forget where) and he said that he wrote the rules for this Republican primary when he was RNC chairman.
He said he did it because he wanted a brokered convention. The former chairman the RNC is saying that what’s going on in the Republican primaries is exactly what he wanted. He wanted a brokered convention. I don’t know if he’s being truthful about that, but he’s saying it. He’s saying that’s what he wanted. (interruption) Well, okay, even if the Palin ad was already made (if they had spent the money, produced it, and already put together the Palin ad that we just aired for you) and the Obama campaign said, “Oh, what the heck. Let’s just run it anyway. We’re gonna have a billion dollars. Let’s just run it anyway,” the same people that did the movie Game Change, or was edited by them… It’s the same bunch of people. The movie, the book, the ad, they’re all tied together. All of this is being operated out of the White House.
