RUSH: Paul in Frankfort, Illinois, great to have you, sir, on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush.


CALLER: Hey, listen, I don’t want anybody to think that this is a setup call or I’m shilling for you or anything like that, but my oldest daughter bought me Two If By Tea for Christmas as a Christmas present. I wanted to let you know it is truly a wonderful product.

RUSH: Well, thank you very much. If this were a setup or if you were a paid snitch you’d have been in the first hour. Tell ’em how long you’ve been on hold.

CALLER: I’ve been on hold for about an hour-and-a-half.

RUSH: Okay, there you go.

CALLER: One of my proudest accomplishments is, the daughter that bought it for me, she’s a big fan and she is very conservative. She got me the regular tea with real sugar in it, with the mugs and the red, white, and blue jelly beans.

RUSH: Oh, wow.

CALLER: The tea itself is a fantastic product, but everything, the packaging, I actually saved the empty bottles and my wife threw ’em out. She thought that was too weird.

RUSH: Those bottles are collectors items.

CALLER: I know that.

RUSH: Those bottles, that’s the finest label in the beverage business.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: That’s the classiest label, plus the added benefit of having my picture on there as Rush Revere. But the bottle is high quality, the label is high quality, the tea, it’s better than anything out there, it really is.

CALLER: Well, you can see through the plastic like it’s glass, it’s that clear.

RUSH: That’s right. There’s no gunk. Gunk-free. No sediment in there or anything.

CALLER: I gave my brother Tom a bottle a couple of weeks ago. I keep calling him asking him how it is and he hasn’t opened it yet because he doesn’t want to drink it.

RUSH: Why, is he a liberal?

CALLER: No, no, he’s a conservative. Because once he drinks it, it’s gone. I’m not giving him another one, because I only got two left.

RUSH: Oh, he’s one of those. He doesn’t want to get the massage because it’s gonna end.

CALLER: (laughing) Yeah, something like that.

RUSH: I used to be that way, too.

CALLER: It’s not only the tea, but the packaging and everything is just really a good product.

RUSH: Well, we had a lot of people comment about the packaging and I appreciate that.

CALLER: I’m gonna have to hide the empties now.

RUSH: You know what to do? A friend of mine, Rebecca, came in. She was with Larry Arnn at Hillsdale College. She came in last week and said that she hides the Two If By Tea in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator because she knows that her husband is never gonna open the vegetable drawer. She puts her Two If By Tea there, knowing nobody will find it. Hides it under a bunch of lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, and that stuff. Every time she opens it, it’s always there. We spent a lot of time on the packaging. You know, Apple has a whole division that does nothing but test the customer reaction to opening the box. It’s got to be magic. Opening the box, they got a whole division that does nothing but that. We’re close to that, not quite there yet, but close.


RUSH: Two If By Tea, the way tea ought to be, the way tea is. There’s magic opening the bottle. That’s what the guy was gonna say, opening a bottle of Two If By Tea is magic. So is it when you get the packaging, seeing it’s done right. I’m ecstatic when people call here — that guy stayed on hold an hour-and-a-half. What did he call himself, a shill? He didn’t want to shill. Yeah, he didn’t want to seem like it was staged. If it was staged he wouldn’t-a been on hold for an hour-and-a-half.
