‘Obama received 17 parking tickets in Cambridge between 1988 and 1991, mostly for parking in a bus stop, parking without a resident permit and failing to pay the meter, records from the Cambridge Traffic, Parking and Transportation office show. He incurred $140 in fines and $260 in late fees in Cambridge in all, but he paid $25 for two of the tickets in February 1990. Jen Psaki, a spokeswoman for the Obama campaign, dismissed the tickets as not relevant. ‘He didn’t owe that much and what he did owe, he paid,’ Psaki said on Wednesday. ‘Many people have parking tickets and late fees. All the parking tickets and late fees were paid in full.”
See, he’s not out of touch. He has parking tickets. Now, parking at a bus stop, that’s new. That’s new. Because, you know, the disabled ride buses and so forth. Speaking of which, I don’t have any doubt the Clinton war room is behind all this. Of course, there were stories earlier in the week about Barack and his investments. He was given political donations by some people and went out and invested in their companies or in investments they were also investing in, and Barack says that he didn’t know that that was happening, and he ‘splained it late yesterday in Washington at a news conference.
OBAMA: At no point did I know what stocks were held, uh, and at no point did I direct how those stocks were invested. What I wanted to make sure was that I didn’t, uh, want to, uh, invest in companies that would potentially create, uh, conflicts with my work here or not, uh, abide by some public statements I have said in terms of, uh, how things worked.
RUSH: This went on and on and on. What did you notice? Did you notice anything here in that bite? Because I did. See how many of you people noticed it. Here’s an ‘articulate, clean’ black guy, according to Biden, and look at all the uhs! Uh, in the whole statement here he made 26 uhs. He normally doesn’t say, uh. It’s one thing to go out there in prepared remarks and so forth, but being grilled? Some observers are suggesting this shows a side of Obama that’s not the polished Obama, the uhs and the ahs and the uh, the pauses and so forth. I don’t know how you can say that. Ed Koch made a career out of it, uhhh — and I just did it. Uh. But I noticed that Obama doesn’t speak that way normally, and it did strike me.
