TOTENBERG: These agencies, including the Defense Department, don’t know how much money they’ve got and for what. And I was at a (snickers) — you’ll forgive the expression — a Christmas party at the Department of Justice, and people were actually really worried about this.
RUSH: Forgive me. ‘I was at a — you’ll forgive the expression — a Christmas party at the Department of Justice…’ So Nina Totenberg didn’t want anybody feeling bad about her for going to a ‘Christmas party,’ so she says: Forgive me, I have to say this. She wants her buds in Washington to be down on her because she went to a Christmas party. Yeah. Yeah, I didn’t enjoy myself there! Well, would you? Would you enjoy yourself at a Christmas party at the Department of Justice (laughing), at this Department of Justice?
