RUSH: Let’s go back to the audio sound bites, and I just want to play this for your entertainment. This is this morning at the White House, President Obama addressing the National Governors Association. Ah, just a small portion of what he had to say here.
OBAMA: As a condition of receiving access to Title I funds we will ‘ax’ all states to put in place a plan to adopt and certify standards that are college and career ready in reading and math.
RUSH: Did you catch that? You missed it. See, you’re listening to the substance here, you missed this. Play it again, Mike.
OBAMA: As a condition of receiving access to Title I funds we will ‘ax’ all states to put in place a plan to adopt and certify standards that are college and career ready in reading and math.
RUSH: This is what Harry Reid was talking about. Obama can turn on that black dialect when he wants to and turn it off. The president of the United States just said here: ‘As a condition of receiving –‘ I wonder if this was on the teleprompter? Did somebody put this on the prompter? ‘As a condition of receiving access to Title I funds we will ‘ax’ all states.’ Who is he trying to reach out to here, the Reverend Jackson? The Obama criticizer? Now, if I use the word ‘ax’ for the rest of the day am I going to get beat up and creamed for making fun of this clean, crisp, calm, cool new articulate president? Maybe we should do it and see what happens. I’ll ‘ax’ my advisors, and I might even ‘ax’ Governor ‘Coomo,’ as the Reverend Jackson pronounced his name.
