RUSH: This is Leslie, Bristol, Tennessee, welcome to the EIB Network. Great to have you here.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you doing today?
RUSH: Pretty well, thanks.
RUSH: Finally!
CALLER: (giggling)
RUSH: Finally! Somebody named a human being after me instead of a dog.
CALLER: Yes, I did, and I have gotten lots of compliments or lots of not-so-nice things said about it. But, you know, that’s okay. They’re allowed their opinion.
RUSH: You have swerved into a world of controversy, I — with that name. What’s the first name of your child?
CALLER: Camden.
RUSH: Camden.
CALLER: Right. Cal Ripken Jr. was my favorite ballplayer growing up, and we live in the South. So Cal is kind of sounds like ‘Moo cow.’
RUSH: (laughing)
CALLER: So we named him ‘Camden’ after the ballpark where he played. So that’s what his name is: Camden Rush.
RUSH: Camden Rush. Well, I’m honored.
CALLER: He’ll be a year old on Easter.
RUSH: I am very honored.
CALLER: Well, thank you. I’m so happy to name him after you. You’re a great, respected gentleman in our family.
RUSH: Did your husband have any say so in this?
CALLER: Yeah, he was fine with it. He said it was cool. He loves you, too.
RUSH: Well, cool!
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: Cool. I’m sure he asks you what to think now and then, or asked you what you’re thinking so he knows what to think. Yeah.
CALLER: (giggles)
RUSH: Anyway, this is very sweet news and I’m happy to hear it, Leslie. Thank you very much.
CALLER: Okay, thank you, have a great day.
RUSH: You do the same. All right.
