Wisconsin Idea: Deem Bill Passed

by Rush Limbaugh - Mar 4,2011

RUSH: Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Greg, welcome, too, to EIB Network and you’re first on Open Line Friday. Hi.

CALLER: Well, thank you, Rush, major dittos in the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: You know what’s going on here, and my question to you is: Couldn’t our State Senate just ‘deem’ the bill passed and send it to the governor?

RUSH: Well, it would be fun to threaten to do that — you know, just to ram it up some bodily orifices of the Democrats.

CALLER: It happened in the House.

RUSH: It happened in the House. They were gonna just ‘deem’ it to be passed. They eventually didn’t. They eventually backed off. Who was it? ‘Nostrilitis’ Waxman eventually did. You know, an adult had to step in there and say, ‘Look, we’re not gonna ‘deem’ anything to have passed.’ They threatened it, though. That was one of their techniques. They would have done it if they had to to get it done.

CALLER: Sure.

RUSH: So, yeah, I like the idea. ‘Okay you guys, are out of town. You have fled. You have run away from your job. We’re just gonna ‘deem’ it to have passed, because it’s gonna pass once you guys get back here, so we’ll just ‘deem’ it to have passed,’ and then watch. Have you seen the cost of cleaning up the marble in the capitol? It’s $7.5 million dollars to clean up the mess! Yes, the anti-Walker forces are genuine slobs. It’s $7.5 million dollars. That’s just no respect whatsoever.
