Two Web-Exclusive Haney Videos

by Rush Limbaugh - Feb 16,2011

RUSH: Ann in Tallahassee, Florida. It’s great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Thanks, Rush. This is great talking to you. On a lighter note, I’ve been eagerly watching your program every Tuesday night, The Haney Project, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m not a golfer. My husband and I sit down, we watch your show. Anyway, you look great out there. The sad part is you’re making Charles Barkley look bad.

RUSH: (laughing)

CALLER: You’re looking great, and I thought a cute thing to note was Hank Haney was addressing a group of children — or young golfers — and their parents and he was talking about all the hard work he’d done and how he has become who he’s become, and then he asked for questions — substantial questions, I guess — and one of the parents, the first question we heard on the show is, ‘Well, how’s Rush doing?’ So I think you’ve got a lot of fans out there who are watching you progress.

RUSH: Well, I appreciate your comments on that. Yeah, that was the episode last night at Hilton Head.

CALLER: Correct.

RUSH: And he was —

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: — he was conducting a youth camp for —

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: — young golfers and their parents up there. I saw that. Some guy said, ‘How’s Limbaugh’s game? How’s Limbaugh’s game?’

CALLER: It seems like you two have a great rapport and that you’ve gotten to know each other at least up to this point in the show. Yeah, so… Anyway, I thought it was the best episode so far. Yesterday you sounded like it wasn’t your favorite, but I liked it.

RUSH: Well, let me put that in perspective. It was my ‘least favorite,’ although for a lot of people, it wasn’t. I had a lot of people say, ‘You know, I finally liked this. There was finally some instruction shown in the show last night.’

CALLER: Yeah. Mmm-hmm.

RUSH: In previous shows the instruction hasn’t made the edit cut. There’s been a lot of instruction, but it just hasn’t made the cut. Last night’s show featured a lot of instruction and it was good. I just… I have knowledge that you don’t. I know what was not included in last night’s show.

CALLER: Oh. Mmm-hmm.

RUSH: The show taken by itself from start to finish, not a bad show. When I say it’s my ‘least favorite,’ that’s not a comment on whether I thought it was good or not.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: Now, the next two… We got two shows to go, Ann.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: Next week on Tuesday night is Al Michaels of —

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: — NBC Sports playing golf out in Los Angeles. We shot this over two days. Al and I playing one day and Haney comes in the next day, and that’s a good episode. That’s gonna be a good, fun episode to watch. We shot the finale over the weekend down in Cabo San Lucas.

CALLER: Oh, wow.

RUSH: Now, depending on how this thing gets cut and put together, it’s gonna be awesome.

CALLER: Neat.

RUSH: It’s gonna be superb. The problem with this one is that they’ve got so much that they could use. I mean, we’ve got nine hours in the can, counting Saturday and Sunday, and only 22-1/2minutes of it’s gonna air.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: So it’s a massive editing project, but I think you’re gonna like both of these remaining two episodes.

CALLER: Well, thank you again for all you do, Rush, and you’re in our prayers and we just appreciate the fight.

RUSH: Thank you.

CALLER: The good fight that you’ve fought.

RUSH: Thanks.

CALLER: Thanks so much.

RUSH: I appreciate it. Thanks, Ann. I appreciate your call.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Speaking of the Golf Channel, The Haney Project, the Golf Channel just sent us a couple of Web exclusive videos for our website. One of them is with Al Michaels in the episode from next week. It’s two minutes. We’re gonna be posting both of these videos when we update the website later this afternoon.
