RUSH: West Palm Beach, Florida, Chris, welcome to the EIB Network. Great to have you here.

CALLER: Yes, hello?

RUSH: Hi.

CALLER: Hi. I just had a question. You know, I appreciate you having me on. In regards to Obama, I know I hear a lot of people talking negative about him a lot, and I — I just want to know if — if it’s personal or if it’s political? Because I know of people that have the same views but actually get sickened by seeing the man on TV, or… Do you feel the same way?

RUSH: Uh, no. It’s all policy with me. I don’t get sickened. You mean seeing Obama on TV?

CALLER: Yeah, I — I personally know people that just, like, literally hate the man that much.

RUSH: I don’t even know him.

CALLER: I mean, I didn’t vote for President Bush, but I like the gentleman as a — as a human being, and I would read his books and all that, but just…

RUSH: I don’t even know him. None of this with me is personal. When I cringe on TV, it’s at the thought that a whole lot of people are listening to it and believing it all.

CALLER: True.

RUSH: I thought the polls said everybody likes Obama personally. I didn’t know there were people that didn’t like him.

CALLER: Yeah, that’s why I was seeing if it was widespread. I’m sure it’s a lot of people. If I know a few people, I’m sure there’s more.

RUSH: Where have you been hanging around in West Palm Beach that they hate Obama?

CALLER: (chuckles) Well, I don’t want to really say, but —

RUSH: Unh-huh. Unh-huh.

CALLER: But it’s really close.

RUSH: Just how near Belvedere-Okeechobee is it?

CALLER: (laughs) About, yes.

RUSH: (laughing)

CALLER: It is.

RUSH: (laughing) Yeah.

CALLER: The Lake Worth area, too.

RUSH: Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, that makes even more sense.

CALLER: (laughing)

RUSH: But I just want you to know: For me personally, this is all policy. This is all about the future of the country. How old are you, Chris?

CALLER: Twenty-five.

RUSH: Twenty-five?

CALLER: Yes, sir.

RUSH: To me, this is all about your future. I am over twice your age, and I have been able to experience and access the wonderful opportunities of this country, and I live in fear that for people your age and younger they aren’t gonna be as plentiful and that they may not be at all if this stuff doesn’t get stopped.

CALLER: I see.

RUSH: Because the engine of that opportunity is freedom, entrepreneurialism, liberty, creativity in the private sector, and all that’s being whittled away. It really…not just frustrates me, it breaks my heart.

CALLER: I understand.

RUSH: I talk to people your age, and a lot of people your age expect things pretty quickly in life. It’s just the way things have evolved, and nothing really of decent quality happens quickly. It takes a long time to achieve it in most cases. I mean, there are exceptions. But this is gonna take even longer if some of this stuff is not stopped and rolled back — and that’s my pure, thorough concern about this. It has nothing to do with Obama as a human being because I don’t even know him. I have no idea what he’s like to watch baseball at ‘Cominskey’ Field with. I have no idea, no clue what it’s like to have dinner with him or anything like that. So none of this is based on anything personal.

It’s pure, pure policy.
