Big breakthrough, folks: Oakland, California is about to become the first American city to provide illegal immigrants with an ID card that will double as a bank card, creating a new alternative to the banking system.
The card is the brainchild of Democrats. Naturally. Democrat Councilwoman and Mayor-elect Jean Quan and Democrat Councilman Ignacio De La Fuente call the card “the most advanced municipal ID in the country.” At participating stores, the cards can be loaded with up to $1,000 at a time. Unlimited cash can be added via direct deposit. Just imagine all the “benefits” that can be delivered to the accounts of illegal immigrants by willing “donors” –like the government!

So far, the IDs don’t include physical descriptions, like eye color, height, and weight. The company that makes the card says, “There’s time to change” that slight drawback, which could open the door to fraud. (Oh, I’m sure that oversight will get fixed someday.)
But what a remarkable development!Every illegal immigrant who’s worried about Arizona-style laws should consider moving to Oakland. In fact, every illegal immigrant –worried or not! There’s the great climate,plus the city will welcome you with open armsand an advanced ID/bank card.
