RUSH: Pat in Tucson, Arizona, great to have you on Open Line Friday. Welcome.CALLER: Gracias. Miles de dittos de Arizona.

RUSH: Thank you so much.

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. Hey, I’ve been trying to call you for over a month now. My son is a Marine with the 232 F-18 Red Devils in Afghanistan and I get to chat with him on Facebook and see everything he’s doing on Facebook and he commented on one of his buddies, so I went to see what the buddy — what the comment was about, and can I read it to you quickly?

RUSH: Yeah, please do, quickly.

CALLER: “So, since I am consigned to my room for being ‘semi-sick,’ I will proceed to download Rush ’cause you are ordered to stop fighting the war on terror because you have dismissals. Blay.” So here’s a Marine listening to you to feel better in Afghanistan. I was so thrilled.

RUSH: That’s a great story. And what was this semi-sick?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: Confined to his room because —

CALLER: He was semi-sick. I think they had a cold or something going around.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: My son didn’t get it but I had read on others that they were sick, they had the cough, they had the flu, and so he was ordered to go to his room, and he was spending time with you, Rush.

RUSH: Well, it’s a very heartwarming story.

CALLER: Oh, I just thought it was — can I have you give a hoorah to the 232 Red Devils in Afghanistan and I’m going to tell them to listen to you today.

RUSH: Yeah. What do you want me to say?

CALLER: Well, just say hoorah Marines!

RUSH: Hoorah, Marines of the 232 Red Devils in Afghanistan!

CALLER: Yeah. Thank you, Rush. That is amazing.

RUSH: Hooah! Hooah!

CALLER: Also, can we have more people go to your website and Adopt-A-Soldier, adopt a Marine so we can have more Marines listening to Rush?

RUSH: Well, we’ll work on it.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: Pat, thanks very much for the phone call. I appreciate it.
