RUSH: To Detroit. This is Bob. I’m glad you waited, sir. Welcome to the EIB Network. Great to have you here.
CALLER: Rush, how you doing, buddy?
RUSH: Very good, thanks.
RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait.
CALLER: I don’t see any meat and I don’t see any noodles floating in there!
RUSH: Wait just a second here.
CALLER: Okay.
RUSH: What the hell is Daschle doing in Detroit?
CALLER: He was being interviewed by our Frank Beckmann here, our radio talk show just before you come on.
RUSH: Yeah, I understand that, but I mean what’s he doing —
CALLER: I don’t know if he was here —
RUSH: No, let me finish.
CALLER: Okay.
RUSH: What’s he doing selling health care?
CALLER: Oh-ho-ho. Oh, I don’t know, brother, I tell you, I was just leaving the house and I turned it on and I was a minute towards the end of it, and Frank was just going toe-to-toe with him, and he couldn’t come up with facts, and, and then Frank mentioned the part about his brother coming down with that cancer, he was overseas in Japan, and he brought him back to this country for medical care, and Frank says, ‘Was it because we have the best care here?’ And he wouldn’t answer that. Oh, I don’t know, you know.
RUSH: I think this is quite illustrative of something. The health care bill is passed. It’s the law of the land, and Tom Daschle is in Detroit selling it. Meanwhile, Democrats are running against it all over the country, want no part of it, and yet Daschle is in Detroit. Detroit! Why do they have to sell anything Obama in Detroit? There aren’t any jobs there. They are bulldozing houses, but they’re still voting Democrat there. Why in the world is Daschle in Detroit selling health care? I mean that’s as big an indication of how lost these people are. I mean, it’s already the law of the land. Anyway, Bob, thanks for the call.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: By the way, I found out what Daschle is doing. Daschle has a book out. Daschle is on a book promotion tour. That’s what he was doing with Frank Beckmann at WJR. It didn’t make sense. I mean I know he was originally going to be one of the health care guys, but to be running around now selling health care, it doesn’t make any sense. He was doing that, I’m sure, as part of his book, but what he was doing is selling his book, and let’s just keep a sharp eye on how many copies of this lame book Daschle sells. I’ll be very, very interested in that.
