Well, now that we’re past Labor Day,the political season’s in full gear, and I havea sampling of political newsto give you a sense of the mood.
Headline: “Democrats Plan Political Triage to Retain House”. The story is,the Democrats are running extensive pollsso that within two weeks,House members in the worst shape will be thrown under the bus.Pelosiand Chris Van Hollen –thehatchet man, DCCC –are cutting funds to vulnerable House Democrats. Pelosi also sent a letter to Democrats, demanding they call her with “commitments” –as in, cash. She ordered those delinquent with party dues to pay up,and those in “safe districts” to kick in money.
Headline: “Democrats Run Away from Health Care”. The story is thatnot one Democrat who voted for Obamacare is running political ads taking credit for it.
Headline: “Why Wall Street Is Deserting Obama”. Story: Some of Obama’s biggest supporters are not funding Democrats this time. Why? Well, here’s a quote from one of them: “So long as our leaders tell us that we must trust them to regulate and redistribute our way back to prosperity, we will not break out of this economic quagmire.” In other words, Democrat economic policies are killing the economyand growth. This time, they’re voting their bottom line,and if you’re smart,you’ll vote your bottom line, too.
