RUSH: Tony La Russa, it’s a good thing he’s the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals and not the coach of the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League because he would have been thrown out of the league last night after he said this.
LA RUSSA: It’s America, right? You’re supposed to be able to have opinions and disagree and I’m actually a supporter of what Arizona is doing. You know, people don’t fix your problem, government doesn’t, national government doesn’t fix your problem and you got a problem, you have to take care of it yourself.
RUSH: That’s Tony La Russa, manager of the Cardinals, at Busch Stadium last night in St. Louis. The National Football League would not have put up with that. But there’s La Russa saying it. Now, he might get a pass because he is a big animal rights guy. He and his wife are huge animal lovers, which I am, too.
