Well, while her husband and Mexican president Senor Wenceswere busy trashing Arizona as a racist state,First Lady Michelle Obama and Mexico’s First Senora (Wences)took a field trip to an elementary school in Silver Spring, Maryland.

While the TV cameras rolled, a little girl looked up at Mrs. Obama and said: “My mom she says that Barack Obama is taking everybody away that doesn’t have papers.” To which Michelle said,”Yeah, that’s something that we have to work on, right? To make sure that people can be here with the right kind of papers, right?” But then thethe punch line. The little girl said:”But my mom doesn’t have any papers.”

That’s all it took for the New York Times to pompously declare that both first ladies “were unexpectedly confronted with the human face of illegal immigration” in an “encounter” that brought it home “in a direct and unusually personal way.” The reporter heaved a huge sigh of relief:the Obama administration will not investigate the status of the little girl or her mother.

There are other kids who could provide the “human face of illegal immigration,” but you won’t see them on TV. They are the children of our slain border patrol officers, or the orphaned kids of parents killed during criminal actions by illegal immigrants.

But those kids will forever “live in the shadows.” They won’t have the chance to “say the darnedest thing,” and end up in a masterpiece theater performance that advances theregime’s agenda.
