Well, now that theliberals have achieved their hundred-year dream with the passage of Obamacare, they are becoming more frank about their true objectives.
The New York Times, for instance, published a story with this headline: “In Health Bill, Obama Attacks Wealth Inequality”. The Times calls the bill “the federal government’s biggest attack on economic inequality since inequality began rising more than three decades ago.” The Times proudly declares that “the benefits” will “flow” to households earning $88,000 a year for a family of four– that’s four times the poverty level.
But here’s the nut quote: “The ways in which the bill attacks the inequality of the Reagan era — whether you love them or hate them — will probably be around for a long time.”
