RUSH: Not only is it a Black Friday for Democrats, hell, it’s a Black Friday for the media. These people are in absolute shock. They have been exposed; their corruption has been caught live, in the act. And who knew, who knew that the Olympic committee was a bunch of racists?

JOHNNY DONOVAN: And now, from sunny South Florida, it’s Open Line Friday!

RUSH: Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man. The worst day of Obama’s presidency, folks, the ego has landed. The world has rejected Obama! Chicago, the least number of votes, first elimination in the round of voting for the Olympics in 2016. When you stop to think about it, folks, doesn’t it make sense? Our president, ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm. Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm,’ had been running around the world for nine months telling everybody how much our country sucks. He’s been running around the world apologizing for the United States of America. Why would anybody award the Olympics to such a crappy place as the United States? Oh, man, folks. I wonder how victory looks to Obama now that it has escaped him and passed him by. He doesn’t want to win in Afghanistan but he certainly wanted to win in Chicago. I think the world apparently wants the guy to fail. Because Obama has failed, the world rejected Obama first of all the people, the world rejected Michelle (My Belle) Obama, the world rejected The Oprah.

Folks, the worst day of his presidency. And this is the guy who is going to talk Iran into giving up its nukes, ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm. Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm.’ Gonna talk Iran into giving up their nukes, obviously racism at play here, folks. Waiting for the official word on that from Jimmy Carter. There was more transparency here in the Olympic voting than in writing a health care bill. Chuck Todd over at MSNBC is just beside himself. He just can’t believe this, none of these people in the Drive-Bys can believe this. Chuck Todd went so far as to say that Mayor Daley’s the big loser here. (laughing) So if the Olympics had been awarded to Chicago, Mayor Daley would have gotten all the adulation? Ha. What about the world embracing Obama and America again? What about that? Well, the world hated us under George W. Bush, but now with Obama the world was going to embrace us. The world was going to love us and respect us.

Get this from the BBC today: Adam Brooks in Chicago, the BBC News, ‘The shock of Chicago’s elimination was greater for the fact that it came in the first round and greater for the fact that President Obama had taken valuable hours from his packed, intense political schedule to travel to Copenhagen.’ It gets better. Hang in there. His legendary powers of persuasion will be said to have failed him, though in reality it will be Chicago’s bid that failed Obama.’ That’s exactly what they say. His legendary powers of persuasion — this is a guy who is going to talk Iran out of its nukes, right? ‘His legendary powers of persuasion will be said to have failed him, though in reality it will be Chicago’s bid that failed Obama. This is a moment which allows the president’s detractors to allege waning prestige on the part of his presidency and will raise questions about the political advice he’s receiving.’ So it’s Daley’s fault. Chuck Todd said it’s Mayor Daley’s fault, the BBC says it’s Chicago’s fault and implies it might be Axelrod’s fault and Rahm Emanuel’s fault.

Now, you do have to ask yourself a question. You do have to ask a serious question here. Is this guy, at the end of the day, a blithering moron? How the hell does he allow himself, as the great internationalist president and emperor of the world, to fly to Copenhagen, give a big presentation — by the way, I will bet you that the IOC had never seen a teleprompter until today. He gave his presentation on a teleprompter! So here he is, president of the world traveling to Copenhagen to give this big presentation and he gets turned down. How could he possibly go over there without knowing this thing was in the bag? This is foolish. Presidents don’t do this kind of thing. You do not go unless you know you have it in the bag. Unless you owe Mayor Daley. I know the ego’s landed, though, Snerdley, got that big ego. I’m sure that he and Michelle thought they were going to pull this off just by showing up over there. Is he such a fool that he doesn’t realize that these people over there hate America more than they like him? Does he not realize that they are delighted to make him look foolish in order to take a swipe at this country?

This is the greatest teaching moment for Obama and he won’t get it. The people of the world hate this country more than they like him, and they don’t like him all that much. And he’s going around the world and saying, you know what? Our country sucked. Until nine months ago, and I ask you to look at all the positive things we’ve done in my administration. So he goes over there, and the world rejects Obama, the world rejects Chicago, and they obviously enjoyed doing it. First round, Obama’s gone! Obama, Michelle Obama, The Oprah, first round, out! He doesn’t realize that the hatred for this country has not abated, and there may be some love for him but certainly there’s no respect for him. And there certainly isn’t a lot of love. We’re being governed by an imbecile, folks, this does not happen. This is why presidents don’t go to these things. You never know. And, by the way, how much did they spend on the bribes? You take two airplanes over there and you can load a lot of bribes in them. I think we have a metaphor for weakness here.

And, by the way, this exposes, I think, in real time, the corruption and fraud that is the US media. The US media has had this in the bag all week long, the US media. In fact, get this. This just ran right before the vote on CNN. ‘Michelle Obama Steals the Show in Copenhagen.’ Ed Henry, CNN, exposed as frauds in real time. ‘After flying through the night for seven hours aboard Air Force One, nobody would blame President Obama for being at least slightly groggy when he arrived in Copenhagen, Denmark, for a quick four hours to make the final pitch for Chicago to host the 2016 Olympics. Maybe that explains why the president seemed to snag the silver medal while first lady Michelle Obama, who’s been in Copenhagen a couple of days, clearly took the gold with an emotional speech focused on her family’s roots in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, and her late father’s battle with multiple sclerosis.’ Again she tells that story? That was part of the Olympic pitch? They just got rejected in the first round, and CNN’s story, ‘Michelle Obama steals the show in Copenhagen.’

Let’s go to the audio sound bites. Chuck Todd is just beside himself. I think the media still can’t believe this. They just can’t believe it. This is this morning live, PMSNBC after they report that Chicago was eliminated, the cohost Alex Witt says, ‘Chuck, it’s a shock for us here in the studio, so much momentum having built around Barack and Michelle going over there, you add Oprah to the mix –‘ it equaled zero, by the way, folks ‘– and it seemed golden. Chuck, what happened? What happened, Chuck?’

TODD: Clearly it wasn’t a business decision. If it was a business decision I think you would see Chicago still around and Chicago end up at these games. This is going to be one of those, you know, the instincts of this White House weeks ago was to not buckle under the pressure from all of their Chicago friends saying, ‘You gotta go, you gotta go, you gotta do it, you gotta do it,’ and I’ll tell you, you wonder if everything has an unintended consequence and this is going to be, anybody from Chicago trying to call in a favor now from this White House is probably going to be thrown in at the back of the line after this.

RUSH: Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho. So you get it now, folks, Obama didn’t even want to go. He didn’t want to go. Michelle didn’t want to go. It was Mayor Daley and it was Valerie Jarrett and all these corrupt Chicagoans who were going to sell property they owned to the Olympic committee or to whoever for big profits to build the now-never-happening Olympic village. So those people in Chicago are gonna go to the back of the line. Right. Ha-ha. Obama’s going to get spanked is what’s going to happen. Daley is going to say, ‘You boob! How in the world could you blow this!’ Like the BBC says, Chicago failed Obama. Obama did not fail Chicago. After they reported that Chicago was eliminated, cohost Monica Novotny said, ‘Jim, I see you’re live with us in Chicago. Tell us about the reaction where you’re standing as people hear the results of the first two rounds, Chicago out and then Tokyo.’

JIM: Well, I mean it’s nothing less than a bombshell here. It absolutely contradicts the sense, palpable at times of momentum that had been growing for Chicago, certainly over the past several weeks, but particularly in the last few days, starting with the arrival of the bid team, the second-guessing, the third guessing, whether Obama factored into it or not, whether there’s anti-Americanism or some sense of in Europe which of course Europe has the majority of IOC representatives, whether they simply were still resisting some kind of sense of American hegemony in sports, who knows what it was.

RUSH: Is this not great? Is this not just delicious? Now they acknowledge American hatred in Europe. I guess Obama just isn’t succeeding, huh? Before it’s all said and done, they’re going to blame me for spreading the vibe worldwide that I wanted Obama to fail. Before it’s all said and done, that will happen. ‘Limbaugh wanted Obama to fail; he started that vibe; he spread it all over the world.’ Have they announced who got it yet? I haven’t been able to look at anything since the program started. Okay, the last I saw it was down to Madrid or Rio de Janeiro. CNN’s countdown clock, 12 more — screw CNN, they have been exposed as frauds in real time, ‘Michelle Obama steals the show.’ I’ll tell you what, while Michelle Obama is stealing the show and Obama’s giving 25 minutes to the general in Afghanistan, we get 9.8% unemployment. That’s not even whole picture. Here’s a quote from CNN. ‘Let’s not panic about this report. It’s really not getting worse in most respects,’ [Tig Gilliam, CEO of Adecco Group North America] ‘We should see an end to job losses by the end of the year. I expect in three to four months, we’ll be talking about jobs being added. I hope.’ That’s an Obama administration official. I hope? Three to four months jobs being added? How is that hope and change working out for you?

It might also be Bush’s fault. You know, that’s what they’ll do, they’ll blame Bush first and then me, Bush so poisoned the atmosphere of the world against America that this was a swipe against Bush, not even the great persuasive powers of Obama could pull the irons out of the fire and bring this home to Chicago. I gotta take a break here but we got some sound bites of Obama begging over there in his presentation. But really, if I were Rio de Janeiro or Madrid, I would enlist Obama to lobby for the other country, thereby ensuring that my country would win. If I’m Rio I’d try to get hold of Obama before he leaves and go in there and make another pitch for Madrid.

RUSH: Their little secret is that Chicago mayor Richard Daley knows all of Obama’s dirty little secrets. Obama was trapped. He had to go. You know, a global citizen, folks. He doesn’t like competition. He doesn’t like winning. He doesn’t like losing. He’s the king of global citizens. I never understood why he went to Copenhagen in the first place lobbying for the Olympics to come to Chicago or anywhere in America. I mean, look, we have 4% of the world’s greatest athletes and yet we win 25% of the gold medals. It’s just not fair out there. I thought Obama stood for the notion that America is greedy, that America doesn’t play well with its neighbors and it’s time to let others lead and let others have a piece of the action. He ought to be arguing for the Olympics to be held somewhere else if he was being true to form, like Kenya.

But I actually think, ladies and gentlemen, that we all let Obama down here. We all could have done more to show our support for Obama. I mean, after all, how many of us (outside the news media) got up this morning and said, ‘What can I do to help Obama today?’ Outside of a couple school kids in New Jersey and in Tennessee, what are any of us doing to help Obama? ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm.’ How many of you got up today and said that or thought that and asked yourself, ‘What can I do to help Obama secure the Olympics for Chicago?’ Not enough of us obviously helped out. Here he is, ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm,’ trying his best to bring hope and change to Chicago via the Olympics and what did we do?

We let him down. We went to work (those of us who have jobs) ignorantly, selfishly leading our own lives. We left it to Obama and Michelle and Oprah to bring the Olympics to Chicago. I, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of all of you, on behalf of all Americans, want to take this moment in time to apologize to President Obama. Not just for me, but for the whole country. We let him down. I want to apologize, too, to The Oprah. We let her down, too. She gave up a full week of taping shows to join Michelle Obama at Copenhagen. What do we do? Well, many of you decided to watch Judge Judy. You didn’t care about Oprah. Many of you decided to watch Judge Brown. Many of you decided to watch Letterman. (snorts) How is that working out for you? Shame on you, shame on us. This isn’t Obama’s loss, my friends, make no mistake. This is our loss.

Let me put it this way, very simply: ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm,’ was trying to make Chicago a bright, shining cesspool on a hill, and now look at what happened. He’ll now use his ‘well-honed persuasive skills’ which he showed off in Copenhagen with the Iranians. This is the guy who is gonna talk the Iranians into giving up their nuclear weapons. Look for the headline later today: ‘Republicans Joyful America Loses Olympics, Limbaugh Ecstatic.’ ‘Obama Loses, Embarrassed in Denmark.’ So, my friends, the ego has landed. This is what happens. Barack Obama has failed. I have spread that vibe around the world. After all, if you run around apologizing for America — if you act embarrassed for your country, if you run around the world and tell everybody all the things this country’s done wrong — why would you expect anyone to want to come here and bring the Olympics here? Well, if you had this massive ego that says people love you even though they hate America — in fact, they love you so much they now love America — if you have that kind of a massive ego then you might run around and behave that way. Listen to some of Obama’s begging here. This was this morning in Copenhagen.

OBAMA: There is nothing I would like more than to step just a few blocks from my family’s home, with Michelle and our two girls and welcome the world back into our neighborhood. At the beginning of this new century, the nation that has been shaped by people from around the world wants a chance to inspire it once more.

RUSH: And the world flipped him off. The world gave him a gesture. The world said, ‘It ain’t about you walking out your door with your daughters and welcoming the world back into your neighborhood!’ It isn’t about YOU, Obama. ‘At the beginning of this new century and the nation has been shaped by people from around the world, wants a chance to inspire it once more.’ Mr. President, America inspires the world just by being. America inspired the world long before you were born. We will inspire the world long after your presidency, despite your efforts to impugn this nation.

RUSH: Obama needs a distraction, folks. It’s back to Letterman, has to be, next week. How about this? David Letterman, after mocking Sarah Palin and her family and her children and talking about being ‘knocked up’ and so forth, goes out last night and admits to his audience that he has had affairs with members of his staff — and the doofus audience laughs about it and applauds him! Man, the corruption is everywhere. ‘Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm.’ Who knew the IOC was racist, folks? Who knew? A couple of observations: Barack Hussein Obama negotiated with the International Olympic Committee without preconditions, just as he said he would negotiate with Ahmadinejad. And poor Michelle! Allllll of her sacrifice. You realize what a sacrifice that she said she had made for the children of the world and for the children of Chicago. She went over there with The Oprah!

Three of the world’s most influential, powerful African-Americans rejected! Their sacrifice laughed at. Oh, my friends, all of these sacrifices in vain. And now Valerie Jarrett and others in the Obama administration who own property in Chicago are going to have to hire some maintenance companies and some exterminators to fix up the slums that she owns. She was hoping to sell those slums to the Olympic Village people. Now she’s going to have to actually maintain those slums and hire some exterminators to get the cockroaches out of there since they’re not going to be torn down for the building of the Olympic Village. Now, that’s what I call shovel-ready jobs! Shovel-ready jobs are now available in Chicago. Valerie Jarrett’s property is ready to call the exterminators! Call Tom DeLay and the maintenance guys to come in and make it habitable for the people who are paying her rent. Now, speaking of the sacrifices, the wonderful sacrifices made by Michelle Obama. Here is a portion of her remarks, her pitch, her (sigh) pleading and begging with the International Olympic Committee.

MICHELLE OBAMA: In my dad’s early thirties he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis —

RUSH: That again?

MICHELLE OBAMA: — and as he got sicker it became harder for him to walk, let alone play his favorite sports.

RUSH: Oh, no!

MICHELLE OBAMA: My dad was my hero.

RUSH: Oh-ho, no!

MICHELLE OBAMA: And when I think of what these games can mean to people all over the world.

RUSH: Oh, no!

MICHELLE OBAMA: I think about people like my dad.

RUSH: You do?

MICHELLE OBAMA: People who face seemingly insurmountable challenges but never let go. They work a little harder but they never give up.

RUSH: And at this point the entire Olympic committee was puking, was throwing up. ‘Who do these people think we are? Do they actually think we care about them? We are interested in who is going to pay us off the most in order to get these games in their town! We want to know where David Letterman is going to round up the women for us. We want to know the real-on-the-ground stuff, and you’re telling us about your neighborhood and your daughters walking outside the house to greet people of the world — and your father with multiple sclerosis and how hard he worked, and you’re comparing him to Olympic athletes? Did your dad ever take steroids? Get serious! We are going to throw up. I can’t believe…’ This is what they’re all saying at the IOC. ‘I can’t believe you came over here and embarrassed yourselves and us with this kind of pleading.’
