RUSH: Here is a portion of a WABC TV 7 in New York, Eyeball News, the reporter, Dave Evans, was out there at New Jersey representative Steve Rothman’s town hall meeting, and you’ll hear a guy in here. His name is Steve Rubinsky. He’s an audience member.

EVANS: There was a feeling of exasperation at all the rhetoric, especially how some conservatives have used Nazi symbolism in blasting Obama’s plan.

RUBINSKY: I am appalled, as being a Jew, that the N-word is racially inflammatory, but Rush Limbo (sic) can get on the radio and all over and using ‘Nazism’ and ‘Nazi’ and ‘Hitler.’

EVANS: This man went on saying Limbaugh shouldn’t be allowed on the airwaves to which conservatives here took exception.

PATRIOTS: (booing)

ROTHMAN: Let’s keep it down!

RUSH: Now, let’s remember, for whatever it’s worth, how many days is this? Nancy Pelosi said those of us showing up at town hall meetings were showing up with ‘swah-stih-kahs,’ as she said, meaning we’re Nazis. We were called Nazis. At that point, I said, ‘All right, let’s do a comparison between the National Socialism of Germany — which is what Nazism is, the National Socialism of Germany — and the Obama health care plan and find out if there are any similarities,’ and by golly, by gosh, there are gazillions of similarities between National Socialism in Germany and Obama’s health care plan. So Mr. Rubinsky, I have also said, ‘I’m not saying Obama is Hitler.’ I went into a big diatribe yesterday. You think of Nazism, you think of genocide, and so we can’t talk about any other aspect of Nazism, which was National Socialism.

Nobody is saying that this government is genocidal. Nobody is saying that Obama is Hitler. What we’re saying is that this health care plan mirrors Nazi Germany’s, and the Nazi Germany health care plan was the foundation from which they built the rest of their ‘socialist paradise,’ if you want to call it that. So you have an uninformed Democrat showing up at a Democrat town hall meeting, a guy named Steve Rubinsky, thinking that I am out there calling Obama a Nazi and calling him Hitler, when it is us that were called Nazis. Fox 5 in New York also covered a Rothman event. Last night in New York City on Fox 5 Ten O’Clock News, this is a montage of the reporter Mike Gilliam’s report on another Rothman town hall meeting in Rutherford, New Jersey.

GILLIAM: Outside Rutherford’s Borough Hall, Lyndon LaRouche’s people with anti-Obama posters depicting the president as a Nazi. Inside, rowdy debate.

MAN: Somebody might lose their job! What are you going to do about it then? But Rush Limbaugh tells us what to think, and he tells us what to do.

RUSH: Your host being invoked now, by name, at Democrat town hall meetings in New Jersey. By the way the LaRouchies, they do have a bunch of signs and posters. These people… Do you know who Lyndon LaRouche is? I’ll tell you when I first saw Lyndon LaRouche. This was… It’s got to be ’80? I’m trying to think, I was living in Kansas City when I saw this. Lyndon LaRouche bought time on NBC before a Tuesday presidential election, and I had never heard of this guy. I’m watching this, I am in stunned disbelief. Yeah, no, this might have been the ’76 election. It might have been the ’76 presidential election. I’m watching TV on Sunday night and NBC sold a half hour to this guy and he’s going on and on about this worldwide cabal of David Rockefeller and Henry ‘Kissing-ger’ and all Brzezinski and so forth.

‘How can we stop all this?’ He said, ‘Vote for me,’ and I’m looking at a genuine lunatic. I’m watching this guy, and the LaRouchies are so far left wing. LaRouchies are not right-wing guys. The Queen of England was part of this worldwide conspiracy. She was the head of a worldwide drug cartel, and so the LaRouchies are out there getting involved in this. LaRouche isn’t even around anymore, I don’t think. (interruption) Well, he was in jail for a lot of years and I don’t even know if he’s still alive. Now, I once said Ray Davies of The Kinks had kicked the bucket and I was wrong about that, so LaRouche may still be looking down at grass rather than up at it. But regardless, these guys… (laughing) The point is you have them on the run out there folks you have these people on the run. Question from the program observer. Yes, what is it? (interruption) Mmm-hmm. That is right. There are enough Democrats in New Jersey not in jail or brought up on charges to conduct town hall meetings, correct, Snerdley.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The Democrats are just… They cannot talk about health care. They cannot talk about the issues. Everybody knows the abomination the bill is. So one of the plays in the playbook is to demonize somebody, and once again they’re back to demonizing me, trying to make the issue about me. Last night Wolf Blitzer sat in for Larry King on Larry King Alive. The Forehead, Paul Begala, was a guest — along with Republican strategerist Cheri Jacobus — and Blitzer said, ‘There’s always going to be a crazy, lunatic fringe out there.’

THE FOREHEAD: Responsible Republicans, they’re not calling these crazies down. (crosstalk)

JACOBUS: Howard Fineman!

THE FOREHEAD: Where are the Republicans standing and up saying, ‘No. Stop the threats. Stop calling people Na…?’ Rush Limbaugh! Rush Limbaugh has compared — (crosstalk)

BLITZER: Here’s something —

JACOBUS: Because these are not necessarily people that identify them and that is sort of —

THE FOREHEAD: Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party!

JACOBUS: (chuckling) Rush —

THE FOREHEAD: He is the unchallenged, self-proclaimed leader of the Republican Party.

JACOBUS: You know, Rush is not the leader of the Republican Party, and I —

THE FOREHEAD: You don’t need to compare our president to Nazis! The responsible Republicans don’t have the courage to stand up to them, to stand up to Limbaugh —

JACOBUS: We have —

THE FOREHEAD: — to stand up to the guy who brought a gun to the president’s rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire!

RUSH: These guys, this is hilarious, folks. I just love it. They are coming unglued. They are unhinged. They’re going to be long gone and I will still be here.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, let’s go back down to CNN and Georgia, David Scott, the representative who trashed the doctor that stood up and asked him a question and some Democrat lackey went out and painted a ‘swah-stih-kah,’ as Pelosi says it, on his office sign. Rick Sanchez, the hapless actor — uh, anchor. Well, what’s the difference? — says to David Scott, is it representative of what’s going on in this country with this health care debate?

SCOTT: You hear the comments, ‘I want my America back. I want my nation back.’ You ask the question, ‘Back from whom?’ It means, ‘Well, somebody must have taken it from you,’ and these cries were not being made last year at this time.

SANCHEZ: Do you think that…? Do you think that comment, ‘I want my America back,’ is inherently racist?

SCOTT: No, I don’t. I think what it —

SANCHEZ: Bigoted!

SCOTT: Well, I think it — it — it’s a reflection of a lot of things within that, that you have to dissect.

RUSH: Racist? ‘I want my country back’ is racist? I love being right, but this still ticks me off. I predicted this. Any criticism of Obama when things start going bad is going to be racist. And of course you can count on some of these template, narrow-minded television people who do not have… Talk about critical thinking, they don’t even have any curiosity to find anything up outside the template. (interruption) What is it now, Snerdley? I’m trying to host the show here. (interruption) If you would leave the show to me, Snerdley, this would all be handled. So I’m sitting here, I am making a point, a brilliant point about the brain deadness of most television anchors, ‘Is it racist to say you want your country back?’ and Snerdley screaming to me, ‘What do you mean? Howard Dean! Howard Dean! Howard Dean,’ and I said, ‘If you just let me run the show, here is Howard Dean.’

HOWARD DEAN: We are taking our country back piece by piece from the Rush Limbaughs.

HOWARD DEAN: You have the power to take back our country so that the flag no longer represents solely Rush Limbaugh!

HOWARD DEAN: You have the power to take back our country so that the flag never again is the sole property of the Rush Limbaugh…

HOWARD DEAN: You have the power to take back our country so that the flag of the United States is no longer the sole property of Rush Limbaugh.

HOWARD DEAN: This country does not belong to Rush Limbaugh! Move over! I want my country back again, because the flag of this country does not belong to Rush Limbaugh.

HOWARD DEAN: You have the power to take back the flag so it does no longer belong solely to Rush Limbaugh.

HOWARD DEAN: Aaarrrgggh!

RUSH: Howard Dean a montage there from the 2004 Democrat primaries. So this idiot congressman Scott from Georgia — and, no, Sanchez, it’s not racist to call him idiot. It’s accurate. He’s an idiot! ‘They weren’t saying this a year ago.’ A lot of us were saying, ‘We don’t want to lose our country. We want him to fail.’ But the whole notion ‘take the country back’ is not new and it doesn’t indicate anything, and it’s nothing that we have to dissect.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay. Diligent research has uncovered the fact that Lyndon LaRouche is still alive. He was gotten out of jail. He was released from jail by his lawyers. His lawyer got him out. Ramsey Clark got him out of jail in 1994. Lyndon LaRouche is still alive and kicking. Now, we also went to the LaRouche website. We did a Google there and you come up with www.LaRouchePub.com, and you find out that LaRouche — his organization and him — accused Bush of being Hitler! This organization, the LaRouchies, accuse everybody of being Hitler. Look at some of these headlines. August 17, 2007: ‘Bush Signs Spy Bill in Spirit of Hitler’s Third Reich.’ ‘Bush Signs Spy Bill in Spirit of Hitler’s Third Reich.’ It appears twice. ‘W’s Grandpa and Great Grandpa Helped Put Adolf Hitler into Office. ‘

Now, I didn’t see the state-controlled media upset about LaRouche when he was accusing not only Bush of being Hitler (laughing) but Bush’s family of putting Hitler into office. ‘The Fascists versus FDR, Then and Now.’ ‘Bush and Hitler: What the Torture Memos Reveal!’ ‘The British Empire’s Fascism Stalks America.’ These are some of the headlines from the LaRouche website. So the Bush family… It was Joe Kennedy, for crying out loud, that supported Adolf Hitler! So you people in media are selective, like Begala getting all over me. Forehead, let me tell you something, it is your party, Paul, the Democrat Party that supported slavery and segregation. Bull Connor was a Democrat. Lester Maddox was a Democrat. All those southern governors, George Wallace, they were Democrats, Paul. The segregationists.

It was Clinton’s big mentor from Arkansas, J. William Fulbright, that was a big-time segregationist. It was the Kennedy patriarch, Joe Kennedy, who supported Hitler, not the Bush family. The ‘Dean of the Senate,’ Robert ‘Sheets’ Byrd was a grand kleagle under the influence Ku Klux Klan. Those are your friends, Begala, your allies, your party — and you’ve yet to apologize for any of it! Racists, segregationists, slavery supporters, Hitler supporters — members of the Klan, for crying out loud! — in your own party. Those were your governors that stood in the schoolhouse doors, Begala. Those were your sheriffs who unleashed the dogs against the protesters and the fire hoses — and, by the way, Mr. Begala, it was your Supreme Court justice, Hugo Black, who represented the Klan for several years in Alabama, who was FDR’s first appointment to the Supreme Court. You Democrats, Begala and you guys… You need to come to grips with your own past, Forehead, ’cause you got the fingerprints of slavery, Nazism, segregation, all over the place. All over this country Democrat fingerprints are everywhere. Joe Kennedy! FDR had to get him the hell out of Great Britain as the ambassador ’cause he was a sympathizer of the Nazis. Not their policies. It was all money, but he was still a sympathizer. It was your secretaries — or Speaker of the House running around calling over half this country Nazis.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I want to go back to a couple of sound bites we played in the second hour, about an hour ago. They’re town halls in New Jersey for New Jersey representative Steve Rothman (Democrat-New Jersey) the first report is from WABC Channel 7 Eyeball News in New York. The reporter is Dave Evans, and the audience member that you will hear speak up here is named Steven Rubinsky.

RUSH: (laughing) ‘Let’s keep it down.’ That’s Rothman, his contribution to the whole thing. ‘Let’s keep it down,’ and then Fox 5 Eyeball News in New York. Their reporter there, Mike Gilliam, another Rothman town hall meeting. This one was in Rutherford, New Jersey.

RUSH: Two things. These are Democrats! For all you Democrats here who think I’m preaching to the choir, you got Democrats at these town hall meetings showing up invoking my name. They’re either hearing what I’m saying or hearing about it but it sounds like they’re doing both, but the real noteworthy thing here is: Here these Democrats stroking my name when I can’t do diddly-squat to them. They’re lucky they have enough Democrats not in jail in New Jersey to still conduct town halls, number one. What was it? They had a sweep of Democrats, mayors, rabbis, 44 of them out there, and some of these rabbis were trafficking in body parts! Rabbis, New Jersey Democrat rabbis, trafficking in body parts — and they’re worried about me uttering words on the radio?

You Democrats in New Jersey, I’m going to tell you something. You are insane. There is no rational explanation for the way you vote. There’s no rational explanation for the way you think — and if it keeps up, there aren’t going to be any Democrats in New Jersey able to conduct town halls because they are all going to be in jail. Trafficking in body parts! How many rabbis was it, Snerdley? At least two rabbis? Yeah, two rabbis, but it was a statewide sweep of Democrats, mayors and so forth — and you people are worried about me?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I need to make a correction. I have been told that the rabbis in the New Jersey body parts scam were both from New Jersey and from New York and that many of them were Republican. But when you want to bribe officials in New Jersey, you have no choice but than to bribe Democrats. So the rabbis bribed officials they found in New Jersey, and when you go finding officials in New Jersey you’re going to find Democrats.
