RUSH: Wendy in Nashville, thank you for calling. Nice to have you with us.
CALLER: How you doing today?
RUSH: Pretty good. Thank you.
CALLER: I wanted to call and thank you so very, very much for the Select Comfort bed that you sent me.
RUSH: Well, I’m glad to know that you got it. How long have you had it?
CALLER: I’ve had it about a week. It came in last Wednesday.
RUSH: What kind did you get? Did you go full boat, did you get the king-size?
CALLER: Yes, sir, I did.
RUSH: Good.
CALLER: I got the i10.
RUSH: And how have you enjoyed it so far?
CALLER: Oh, I love it. I am sleeping better. I know that my husband’s sleeping a lot better ’cause when I don’t, you know, toss and turn, flip-flop, then I know he is sleeping better, so it’s great. I still haven’t found my level yet. I think he’s at a 50.
RUSH: You mean you haven’t found your sleep number? Why not? That should be easy. What are you experimenting with, hard or soft?
CALLER: Well, I went to a soft, and then I went up to kind of like a mediumish, and I’m like, well, maybe I should try like a 70 or something like that —
RUSH: Yeah, why don’t you Jack it up to 75 or 80 and see how it works.
CALLER: What’s your sleep number?
RUSH: Well, I go back and forth. I’m anywhere from 75 to a hundred. I like it hard.
CALLER: Really?
RUSH: I like it hard.
CALLER: Well, I’m thinking that maybe because I have a bad back, maybe I should keep it a little bit firmer.
RUSH: Well, you should try it. That’s the beauty of the Sleep Number Bed, you can try it. You’ll find the best firmness for you that works.
CALLER: Well, I wanted to thank you and also Mr. Carson, he is a riot. We were e-mailing, you know, when there were some issues, and he is a blast. I loved e-mailing him. But, you know, he really did help me, and I wanted to thank him personally, too, and thank you. It’s a wonderful bed. It’s great, and it’s helping me, it’s helping my husband, and thank you.
RUSH: You’re welcome, Wendy. She called some time ago and was complaining about something and I gave her a Sleep Number Bed, and now she is calling to say thanks. That’s what this was about. Apparently she said H.R. was e-mailing with her back and forth on the details of this getting it all done, and the union delivery guys were having a problem, is that what it was? Okay, having a problem with the delivery guys in Jersey and so forth. But, H.R., you gotta be happy. She interpreted your sarcasms as wit and humor, that’s great. If I were you I’d be celebrating.
