RUSH: Here’s Sophia from Perry Hall, Maryland. Welcome to the program.

CALLER: Hi. This is Sophia from Perry Hall.

RUSH: Hi, Sophia, this is the state, by the way, where Bob Wexler lives while he represents Florida.

CALLER: (laughing) Right. Well, let me tell you, I am ebulliently going to push the lever for John McCain. This morning I had homemade stickers all over my car. I am so excited for Sarah. She threw down the gauntlet. She’s telling Nancy Pelosi, she’s telling Sally Quinn, and she’s telling Maureen Dowd, ladies, I’m here to do a job. I’m not here to pick you ladies out for bridesmaids, and I’m excited.

RUSH: Good. I can’t tell you how excited I am to hear this enthusiasm from all of you. You know, she’s really illustrating what lightweights people like Pelosi are and even Hillary. Hillary playing the victim card all over the place, and do you know what Hillary’s big selling point was during her campaign? ‘I have fought for 35 years for childhood health care,’ and they still don’t have it. Her qualification was that she fought. Sarah Palin was governor, mayor, two or three years, look at what all got done, a gas pipeline, all kinds of things. ‘I fought for 30 years. I’ve been fighting for 35 years.’ And for all 35 years been complaining that the things she’s fighting for haven’t been done because there’s always a Republican standing in her way.

Ralph in New York, I’m glad you called, sir. Welcome to the Rush Limbaugh program.

CALLER: Hey, Rush, thanks for taking my call. I was trying to get you all summer. I want to tell you, congratulations on your 20th year at the EIB Network, and may you have a hundred more, bro.

RUSH: Thank you very much. I appreciate that.

CALLER: Oh yeah, and mega Labor Day dittos from your favorite foreign correspondent behind enemy liberal lines in New York City. Last night I was so excited when Sarah Palin was talking and giving her speech, my landlord knocked on my door, he thought I was watching the Yankee game because the Yankees beat up on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays last night, and I was screaming, ‘Yeah, yeah!’ And he goes, ‘Yo, the Yankees are doing good?’ ‘I’m watching the lady for vice president that John McCain picked.’ He’s like, ‘You’re yelling that loud for politics?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m pumped up and excited.’ But more than anything, Rush, what I saw last night, because when you take away all arguments and all the issues and everything, when you slip it all down, what I seen was two mature adults that want to run the country. And when you look at these Democrats, I’m 41 years old, when I picture Joe Biden, 30 years older than me, 20-something years older than me, I see children trying to act like men. That’s literally what I see. And, you know, it makes me sick sometimes, it really does.

RUSH: Well, that’s an interesting observation. I have always looked at Obama as a man-child, you know, an effete man-child, and Biden, I’ve never quite qualified him that way, I’ve never gotten that far, there are other things that distract me about Senator Biden. But you were making enough noise that your landlord thought you were cheering for the Yankees. By the way, it’s not the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They determined that was politically incorrect, so it’s just the Tampa Bay Rays. I know to a Yankee fan they might be the Devil Rays, but the correct name is the Rays. But I got a note from a friend of mine that I cannot identify, there was cheering, he could hear in his house people cheering outside in his neighborhood during the Sarah Palin speech. He lived someplace where the windows are open, I guess, but I could never hear people cheering outside my house. I don’t live near enough anybody or be close enough with my hearing to be able to hear that, but he swore that he heard people cheering outside his house during the speech. Let’s listen to a little bit of Rudy because Rudy was on fire last night doing the keynote address. Just a couple sound bites here at random.

GIULIANI: He ran for the state legislature, and he got elected, and nearly 130 times he couldn’t make a decision. He couldn’t figure out whether to vote yes or no. It was too tough. He voted, he voted ‘present’! I didn’t know about this vote ‘present’ when I was mayor of New York City. Sarah Palin didn’t have this vote ‘present’ when she was mayor or governor. You don’t get ‘present.’ It doesn’t work in an executive job. For president of the United States, it’s not good enough to be present.

RUSH: And this is Rudy describing what Obama has led.

GIULIANI: He is the least experienced candidate for president in the United States in at least the last 100 years. Not a personal attack, a statement of fact. Barack Obama has never led anything, nothing, nada. Nada! Nothing.

RUSH: Nothing. Keep in mind, Rudy’s teleprompter got all screwed up last night, too. Here he is defending Sarah Palin’s experience.

GIULIANI: She’s already had more executive experience than the entire Democratic ticket combined! She’s been a mayor. I love that. I’m sorry, I’m sorry that Barack Obama feels that her hometown isn’t cosmopolitan enough. I’m sorry, Barack, that it’s not flashy enough. Maybe they cling to religion there. As far as I’m concerned, the first day she was mayor, she had more experience as an executive than Obama and Biden combined.

RUSH: We haven’t seen this out of the Republican Party in I don’t know how long. They came fighting back like this, just hammering these people, just turning their words back on them like this. It was rah-rah all night long, and then this.

GIULIANI: How dare they question whether Sarah Palin has enough time to spend with her children and be vice president! How dare they do that! When do they ever ask a man that question? When?

RUSH: And the question could be asked, when did President Clinton have time to be president with all the women he had on the side? Well, that was just sex Rush, that was just sex, and of course it didn’t interrupt his ability to do his job. Well, then why would Sarah Palin’s relationships with her family cause the same problem? The double standard coming out of these liberals’ mouth is a delight to behold. Anderson Cooper thought it was time to fire back here, defend The Messiah on Rudy’s charges that he had no experience.

REPORTER: Rudy Giuliani made a big point of saying factually Barack Obama has never led anything, he has no executive experience. I mean you could argue he’s done something — I mean he’s led a campaign with several thousand employees that did something that Rudy Giuliani was not able to do, which is win the nomination of his party.

RUSH: Way to go, Anderson, way to go. Way to not understand that Obama is running out of money, spending more money than he’s taking in. This is really who you want to pump up as your candidate for president, that he has run a campaign. Carry the water for them, Cooper. Anderson, just go ahead and just attach yourself to the hip, or whatever body part you find attractive, attach yourself to the hip and go there and stay there, carry the water, do whatever you need to make sure nothing happens to the little Messiah, make sure no criticism of The Messiah is unanswered on CNN. Gotta hear this. Now, we have a sound bite from Mitt Romney here, and when I was reading Drive-By reviews of the speeches last night, it’s amazing, the Drive-Bys just hated Romney, just hated Romney’s speech. They were belittling it, just throwing it away, just an absolute waste, what was he doing there? That was just horrible. Let me give you one example why they hated it.

ROMNEY: Is a Supreme Court decision liberal or conservative that awards Guantanamo terrorists with constitutional rights? It’s liberal! Is a government liberal or conservative that puts the interests of the teachers union ahead of the needs of our children? It’s liberal. Is the Congress liberal or conservative that stops nuclear power plants and offshore drilling, making us more and more dependent on Middle Eastern tyrants? It’s liberal! Is government spending putting aside inflation, liberal or conservative, if it doubles since 1980? It’s liberal! We need change all right. Change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington.

RUSH: That was all last night. I mean, the liberals are getting bashed every which way from Sunday, and that is why the Drive-Bys did not like Romney.
