Well, continued shock and dismay were on display on the weekend news shows following Senator Clinton’s USA Today interview. She said: “Senator Obama’s support among hardworking Americans, white Americans, is weakening again” –thus proclaiming herself the white knight of hardworking white America.
Terry McAuliffe was assigned damage control duty, appearing on Meet the Press, Face the Nation, and Fox News Sunday, and heattempted to spin the latest Clinton race-card play as Hillary simply quoting an AP article. The spin failed when it was noted that AP didn’t imply only white Americans are hardworking, as Mrs. Clinton did.
Drive-Bys are outraged– as are staunch Clinton supporters like Harlem’s Charlie Rangel, who called her remarks dumb. Dumb? No. Racist? Well, maybe — but that’s a horse of a different color.
So I must address the proud soldiers of Operation Chaos –hardworking conservatives of all colors who voted for Senator Clinton to keep her hope alivein the Democrat primaries. I knowhow difficult it was to pull the lever for “that woman,” Mrs. Clinton. Now she’s uttered racially divisive remarks that go against our values, and she has injured the feelings of our fellow citizens — so you probablyfeel even more tainted.
Troops, yours was never an easy mission, but the rewards of victory are magnificent. Both Senator Clinton and Obama have been exposed for who and what they are. The tainted feeling will fade. Because you have done valuable service to your country. God bless you, and God Bless America –all of America.
