RUSH: Charlie Rose says to Ted Turner last night on his show, PBS, ‘What will happen if global warming is not addressed immediately?’

TURNER: Not doing it will be catastrophic. We’ll be eight degrees hotter in 10 — not 10, but 30 or 40 years, and basically none of the crops will grow, most of the people will have died, and the rest of us will be cannibals, civilization will have broken down. What the — few people left will be living in a — in a failed state like Somalia or Sudan, and — and living conditions will be intolerable. The droughts will be so bad, there will be no more corn growing. Not doing it is suicide.

RUSH: There you have it. Cannibals, we’re all going to be cannibals in 30 to 40 years if we don’t do anything about global warming, no better off than Sudan or Somalia. Charlie Rose says, ‘What’s wrong with the population, Ted?’

TURNER: There’s too many people. That’s why we have global warming. We have global warming because too many people are using too much stuff. If there were less people they’d be using less stuff.

RUSH: Meanwhile, this guy practically owns Montana. He raises buffalo. He’s got all these restaurants, Ted’s Buffalo Burgers or whatever — Ted’s Montana Beef or whatever. I’ve been in the one in Atlanta, and it’s not bad. But he’s buying property up all over the place out there.
