RUSH: Next is Barbara in Logansport, Indiana. Welcome to the EIB Network on Open Line Friday. Hi.

CALLER: Hi. Mega dittos, Rush.

RUSH: Thank you.

CALLER: I’ll tell you what I’m really concerned about. Operation Chaos, or, as I call it, the War of the World, how can you guarantee that this won’t backfire and we’ll end up with Hill and Bill in the White House again?

RUSH: I can’t guarantee that.

CALLER: That is my concern. What if all these votes and everybody switching over and voting for Hillary, next thing you know, bam, they’re in there!

RUSH: Look. I want you to follow me on this. The Clinton threat was going to occur whether there was Operation Chaos or not. The purpose of Operation Chaos was to keep her momentum going so that the Clintons would not be tempted to quit or that the party would not be empowered more so than otherwise to kick ’em out of the race and it was important that she win Texas and Ohio for this, or at least do well, and then in Mississippi cut into Obama’s lead. All of that happened. But if the Democrats play by their own rules, she has less than a 5% chance of getting the nomination. There is no way that she can, on the first ballot, according to the votes of the pledged delegates — superdelegates are still kind of up for grabs, but there’s no way that she can win this.

CALLER: She says she can. She’s on TV all over the place telling everybody she’s in it for the long hall, she’s not quitting.

RUSH: I understand, but she was going to do that regardless of Operation Chaos. Can you hang on? It’s a good question. People are worried about backfiring, and I want to try to assuage your fears.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, we go back to Barbara in Logansport, Indiana, and I have a little bit more time here. I was up against what we call in real radio broadcasting, a hard break.

CALLER: All right.

RUSH: Meaning it didn’t float, I had to take it when it comes up. Operation Chaos, there’s always been, in every operation, there’s always a chance that the great strategic planning could backfire, because there are so many unknowns that take place once the operation’s been implemented. You would agree with this?

CALLER: Yes, because what I’m hearing from people is, they’re not really talking about Hillary. They want Bill in that White House to have peace and prosperity and fun times. And they want him, and the only way they can get him is to get her!

RUSH: I understand all that. But Operation Chaos is not about that. Let me try to explain this again. The purpose of Operation Chaos and the true genesis for it was two realizations that hit me like a ton of bricks. One is that neither the Republican Party nor our nominee are going to fight the Democrats. They are not going to be in attack mode, they want to run an honorable — I mean, I have looked, I can’t find what the Republican Party stands for these days. I can’t find any Republican out there trying to take advantage of any of this that’s going on on the Democrat side. Now, maybe our nominee shouldn’t do it, but there are plenty of surrogates that could be, and I don’t see ’em, I don’t hear ’em. This circumstance here, Operation Chaos, was designed to get these two opponents on the Democrat side to bloody each other up since our side wasn’t going to do it.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: And our side isn’t going to do it. So from that standpoint, Operation Chaos is a success. By the time we get to the convention, we’ve got Jeremiah Wright out there, we’ve got Hillary telling lies about snipper fire, telling lies about NAFTA and now Northern Ireland, she’s been claiming she had everything to do with peace. Wait ’til you hear the story about that. We are in the process of discrediting both of these candidates; we’re dispiriting the Democrat Party. So the point is that whoever wins, because we can’t really predict, all we wanted was the contest to go on, and for that to happen, Hillary needed to rebound. If it had been the other way around, if it was Obama that needed to rebound, Operation Chaos would have been oriented toward helping him rebound. The whole point of this is to take this out as long as it can to show this party for what it is, to get the Democrats to expose themselves for who they are. They are the real racists. They are the real sexists. Here’s Mrs. Clinton running around saying that those votes don’t even count. The primary votes that nominated the pledged delegates, those don’t even count. The Democrat Party is showing exactly — can I ask you a question?

CALLER: Sure.

RUSH: Seriously, Barbara. Just imagine, hard as it may be, play the game with me for 30 seconds, imagine you’re a Democrat.

CALLER: Oh, my gosh.

RUSH: But wait. Everything else about you is the same. You care about the country; you’re really interested in the future. Would either of these two candidates be exciting you?

CALLER: No.

RUSH: The flaws that have been exposed about both these candidates? I’ll tell you something else, another added benefit to Operation Chaos is the fact that the longer this goes on, the angrier the losers’ voters are going to be, and a certain percentage of them are going to be so mad at the Democrat Party that they’re not going to be able to unify ’em and they’re either gonna sit out or they are going to vote for McCain. You’re worried about Hillary winning this and Bill getting back in the White House. If that happens, there is going to be the long-awaited revolt that we have all hoped for between blacks and the Democrat Party in presidential elections. Because I will guarantee you, if they take this away from Barack Obama when he’s got it 95% won, and especially if they do it on the basis of his wacko preacher who practices black liberation theology and separatism and hate America, if they take it away from him, there are not going to be just riots in Denver. It’s going to be worse. The Democrats get 90%, 93% of the black vote every presidential election. If they don’t get that, if that’s reduced to 80% or 70% either by them voting for McCain or not voting at all, huge, big-time huge.

The point of Operation Chaos is chaos, is to keep this going for as long as possible. The only way that can happen is if both these candidates think they are viable and have a chance. Now, the Clintons, if you’re worried about the Clintons, the Clintons were not going to get out even if she lost Ohio and Texas. They’re not getting out now, and they don’t have a prayer legally of winning this, about a prayer is all they’ve got. Not legally. That isn’t going to stop them. This is what she has lived for. This is what she’s eaten all the excrement sandwiches for the last 20 years. This is the payoff for all the bimbo eruptions and all of Bill’s philandering and all the humiliation from Arkansas forward, this is what it’s been about. They’re just not going to say, ‘Okay, Barack, congratulations, you won. We’ll unify behind you.’ It’s just not going to happen. They are saying, both of them are telegraphing, ‘These votes don’t count. Let all the votes count, but they don’t count.’ Clinton is out there saying, (doing Clinton impression) ‘Hey, can’t we all just put this aside? Just let the people have their say. Let the people vote, let’s count the votes, let’s saddle up and let’s let it happen.’ Hillary is out there, ‘It doesn’t matter, Bill, what the people vote, the pledged delegates are not pledged.’ So we have the circus, we’ve got the Uncivil War that we wanted. This has been even better, Barbara, than I dreamed. Now, could it backfire?

CALLER: I hope not.

RUSH: Well, here’s my answer to that.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: I’m not the Republican Party, and I’m not the Republican candidate. As I said yesterday, if the Republican Party loses this race and our candidate loses this race, they’re the professional politicians, they’re the campaigners, they’re the guys supposed to know better than anybody else how to win elections. If they can’t do it with what’s been created in this chaos in the Democrat Party now, it’s nobody’s fault but theirs.

CALLER: Okay. I feel so much better.

RUSH: I’m glad that you called.

CALLER: Thank you so very much.

RUSH: All right, Barbara. Thank you.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Operation Chaos continues, ladies and gentlemen. And Vermont public — audio sound bite number 21, Mike. Vermont public radio, Senator Pat Leahy said this.

LEAHY: There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw, and she ought to be backing Senator Obama.

RUSH: Ah, ha-ha-ha-ha. Senator Depends, Pat Leaky Leahy says there’s no way she is going to win enough delegates. Senator Leahy, you don’t know the Clintons. That doesn’t matter to them. What you just said, there’s no way they can win enough delegates, doesn’t matter to them right now. They are not of that mindset. They do not believe anything of that nature. Let’s see. Here is Obama on the CBS Evening News last night. Harry Smith said, ‘Several people have written that even in the best case scenario Hillary Clinton’s chances of getting the nomination for the Democrat Party are about 5%. When is it time for her to leave?’

OBAMA: Oh, I think that is something that she’s gotta make a decision about.

SMITH: If you are the presumptive candidate here, isn’t it time that you say, with some severity, that we can’t go on like this?

OBAMA: Well, no.

SMITH: At the cost of losing the general election?

OBAMA: I don’t think so. I think that what’s going to happen is that — that as soon as the nominee is determined, whether that is two weeks from now or in early June, that there will be some bruised feelings, people are going to have to patch things together, and we Democrats have to get our act together and win this election.

RUSH: So this is Harry Smith begging Barack Obama to tell Hillary to get the hell out. By the way, Howard Dean’s always saying, ‘Superdelegates, why, they’re going to vote, they’re going to vote by July 1st.’ He said something else fascinating. Grab number four real quick. You’ve gotta hear this. Let me finish my Obama point. Smith begging him, just begging him to tell Hillary to get out. No, I don’t want bruised feelings, doesn’t want bruised feelings. Also on the Early Show today, Harry Smith talking to Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democrats. And he said, ‘Look, when the primary season is over, do you want superdelegates to have some sort of vote immediately so that you’ll know months in advance at a convention what the outcome is?’

DEAN: Well, I think the superdelegates have already been weighing in. I think there’s 800 of them, and 450 have already said who they’re for. I’d like the other 350 to say who they’re for at some point between now and the 1st of July so we don’t have to take this into the convention.

RUSH: Howard Dean, Howard Dean, do you realize 450 have already said who they’re for? Have those 450 voted, Howard? Can they not change their minds between now and then, Howard? None of them have voted, and yet Howard Dean is claiming to know that 450 of the 800 superdelegates have already pledged. They haven’t. Ask John Lewis. John Lewis, he was in the Clinton camp, and then the Obama magic started happening, and the people started fainting at the rallies and a number of other things, and John Lewis from Georgia, superdelegate, it’s the toughest thing he’d ever done, but he had to leave the Clintons. Who’s to say that this stuff can’t happen in reverse? Operation Chaos.
