CALLER: Thanks, Rush. Well, I never imagined that I would ever be able to say that I was right and you were wrong. Boomer Sooner, Rush.
RUSH: Wait a second. Did I make a prediction?
CALLER: Well, you rooted for the Tigers.
RUSH: I did. I mean, rooted, but I didn’t come out and make a prediction.
CALLER: Okay.
RUSH: You see how eager people are to have me proclaimed to be wrong about something?
CALLER: Well, it was one of those things I mentioned to my husband, I said, ‘He’s rooting for the Tigers.’ And I went, ‘Wait a minute, he’s from Missouri.’
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: I can be okay with that.
RUSH: My whole family except me went to the University of Missouri.
CALLER: See, and I’m the only one that didn’t go to OU.
RUSH: Yep. But you’re a native Oklahoman?
CALLER: Yeah, I’m from Norman, and I’m the strange one. I’m the one that actually went to OSU.
RUSH: Well, you know, you guys, I understand you’re gloating and all that, but understand something, Missouri guys, they go to class.
CALLER: Touché.
RUSH: (laughter) Gotcha, Sarah, gotcha. (laughter)
CALLER: Yeah, love you, Rush, I really do. And I have to tell you that my kids even adore you. My seven-year-old, this is the first year, her seventh birthday was the first year she didn’t ask me to invite you to her birthday party.
RUSH: Is that right? Well, that’s sweet.
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: That is so sweet. This program spans all demographics, all age-groups, all religions, all three sexes. I mean we’re everywhere, no boundaries.
CALLER: Well, and we home school, and so periodically she takes a break and sits and watches you on the Dittocam on the computer.
RUSH: Well, look, I appreciate that. Look, congratulations to the Sooners. They played a great game. I watched it Saturday night. I was befuddled by the play calling, particularly the first half, I was befuddled by what happened to the Missouri offensive line throughout the whole game. And, of course, if you’re going to win a national championship, you gotta have a power running back. Their red zone performance was just disappointing. I mean you got first and goal from the six, you end up fourth and 14, fourth and goal from the 14 or 16 yard old, they couldn’t move it in the red zone. They had a chance to win the game on numerous occasions really before they lost it. Congratulations to Oklahoma. It was a great game for them.
