CALLER: Hello. It’s a pleasure and an honor to speak with you. How are you doing, Rush?
RUSH: Very well, sir. Thank you very much.
CALLER: Thank God for you and Fox Network. Where would we go without you?
RUSH: And if it weren’t for me, there wouldn’t be a Fox Network, so put me first, as you did. Yes. ( Just kidding.)
CALLER: Oh, I do. I always do. Listen, call me crazy, but I’m thinking about an unintended, long-term, positive consequence of this immigration with the Mexicans and the southern border. These Islamofascists, they have billions of people. These people, nobody argues that the southern border people are hard working, good people. If they’re here and we get attacked again, these people would love to defend this country. I think we would have an army that would have to turn away volunteers because this is a generational war, as we know, and the Democrats continue to —
RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait. I want to make sure I understand. You’re suggesting that one of the reasons behind amnesty, is to get more people to volunteer to go to the Army?
CALLER: I’m not saying it’s a reason, but it is an unintended positive consequence, that there may be or may be not anyone who’s thinking about it, but I believe these people would be honored and proud to fight for this country if we were attacked, say, in a ’24’ scenario.
RUSH: Oh, man.
CALLER: Do you not think they would?
RUSH: You’re really making it tough to be host today. How do I answer this? The Today Show will change topics from ‘Barack, the ‘Magic Negro” to, ‘What Limbaugh Says About the Trustworthiness and Backbone of Illegal Immigrants.’ I can’t win with this question. All I can tell you is, I haven’t seen any evidence of what you say.
CALLER: I know.
RUSH: Just between us, just between us.
CALLER: I know. I gotcha. I gotcha. But if we have to open another front in Iran, they all say we’re stretched thin already in Iraq. If we have to go in Iran and God knows where else we have to go —
RUSH: Yeah, but we’re not going to go in there with personnel so much. If we go in Iran, it’s going to be with (whispers)
CALLER: I’m looking down the road at things that neither you nor I nor anyone can foresee. These people will not stop these billions of Islamos, and what, there’s only 2% of them that are fringe? Still, you know?
RUSH: This is one of the things I love about Open Line Friday. Of all the things possible, in thinking of illegal immigration, this is one that went right over my head. I would have never thought of this. This would have never occurred to me that a positive unintended consequence is that the 12 million… (stifling laughter) the 12 million would readily go out and join the army to protect us against… (stifling laughter) uh, invaders. Yeah. Okay.

RUSH: Pat in Manchester, New Jersey, welcome to the EIB Network. I have about a minute and a half here but I wanted to get to you.
CALLER: Okay, Rush. Mega, mega dittos! I’ve spent many years listening to you.
RUSH: Thanks.
CALLER: The gentleman before about the getting volunteers for the Army? That’s not the way it’s going to work. He has four reasons why this is happening with the immigration. One, businesses want it. It’s cheap labor. Two, the unions are going to get them secondhand. Then the politicians, that will be three — and four, it’s for the common good of the country because we’re going to need warm bodies in years to come. These are not going to be people volunteering. They’re going to be drafted, and you have to be a citizen to be drafted, and this is what’s happening. This is all a part of the result of the low birth rate and abortion. We don’t have the Americans.
RUSH: All right. So we don’t have enough liberals because liberals have been doing most of the aborting.
CALLER: No, no, not liberals. I’ll talking about human beings.
RUSH: Well, but most of the abortions are people that would have been liberals.
CALLER: No, no. Maybe it was, but the good people got taken in, too.
RUSH: I hear what you’re saying. You’re saying that we’re running out of warm bodies —
CALLER: Exactly.
RUSH: — and one of the reasons is, we’re aborting them, and we’re going to need ’em for a whole host of things.
CALLER: Over 40 million, Rush, and not just them, but the children they would have had. They’re teenagers that don’t exist anymore.
RUSH: But the problem with this is — listen to me very carefully — if the Democrats get their way on this, they’re not going to become productive in the sense that they’re going to be wards of the state. They are going to be receiving transfer payments. Redistribution of wealth is why the Democrats want those people here.
