CALLER: Good morning, Rush.
RUSH: Hi.
CALLER: Hi. I’m sitting here smoking my cigar looking at —
RUSH: Don’t tell me that. I’m sitting here in a city that doesn’t permit it.
CALLER: Oh, I’m sorry.
RUSH: I can’t have my one o’clock cigar here at the EIB building in midtown Manhattan.
CALLER: Oh, that’s too bad.
RUSH: Well, it is but we all have to obey the rules of society.
CALLER: So I have a prediction and a fact. I think Algore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth was a way for him to raise money for his presidential campaign. I think that he’s searching for a mandate where at the 11th hour — this is my prediction — he will be pulled to save the world and become the presidential candidate, reluctantly, of course.
RUSH: Well, the one thing here, you may be right, although he doesn’t need the money from this movie. He has all kinds of money, his Occidental Petroleum. Algore owns oil stock.
CALLER: (Gasping.)
RUSH: Algore owns stock in Occidental or his dad was tied up somehow with them, a family trust, something like that, but he’s got Occidental Petroleum. Algore’s done well with stock with Apple or Google or something, I forget. He’s on the board of Apple, but the number I heard thrown around was $65 million.
CALLER: But that’s his money.
RUSH: Oh, that’s right! You’re talking about other people’s money to run.
CALLER: Exactly.
RUSH: All right, let’s say you’re right. What does this say? You’ve got TIME Magazine out there building Algore up in their most recent issue. What does it say about the Hillary Clinton candidacy, that all these Democrats are waiting for some white knight to ride in and save the day? Apparently Obama’s plummeting a little bit in the polls, Hillary’s not excited. I thought Hillary was a de facto nominee of that party.
CALLER: But see, at the 11th hour he’ll get pulled in, reluctantly, to save the world. He wants to be the president. He doesn’t have to campaign, he doesn’t have to tick off the Clintons; we’ll pull him out to save us.
RUSH: He’s already ticked off the Clintons. They don’t get along. Gore blame’s Clinton’s Oval Office escapades for costing him a big sweeping victory in 2000. There’s no love lost between the Clintons and the Gores. By the way, Algore is out there saying that he’s fallen out of love with politics.
CALLER: Oh, yeah, sure.
RUSH: I think politics has fallen out of love with Algore.
CALLER: My prediction. He will be the candidate.
RUSH: All right. Well, I’ll mark it down here, May 18th that you, John in Carlsbad, California, have been the first to call it — well, you might be — there are so many people hoping for what you have predicted to come true.
