RUSH: Chet, Biloxi, Minneapolis, thank you for waiting, sir. You’re next on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Rush, it’s a pleasure to talk with you. I’m a long-time listener, first-time caller.
RUSH: Thank you, sir.
CALLER: Rush, as far as you being the number one talk radio —
CALLER: That’s my consensus, too, Rush. I hear you talking, and it brings back the point in the first part of World War II, the dark days when we had Edward R. Murrow keeping us informed of what was going on in the war against Germany. Here, we have you keeping us informed on what’s going on in the war against terrorism — and you go a step further. You’re warning the American people what’s going to happen if they don’t get their head out the sand, and thank God we have you.
RUSH: Wow. You have just called me the modern-day Edward R. Murrow.
CALLER: Well, I feel that way.
RUSH: Well, I’m glad you do. (chuckles) You realize how many liberals in this audience have just blown a gasket?
CALLER: Well, I hope so, Rush.
RUSH: (Laughing.)
CALLER: And as far as the Nobel Peace Prize, you got my vote also.
RUSH: Well, I wish you had one.
CALLER: Yeah, I do, too.
RUSH: All right. I appreciate it, Chet. Thank you so much.
