RUSH: From the Politico: “Dem[ocrat Party] Split on Domestic Plan,” meaning their plan for anything not to do with Iraq. But the thrust of the story is it’s not a pressing issue right now. Iraq is taking all the oxygen, and so they have a problem here. They do have a domestic agenda, but it’s going nowhere because they’re so occupied with Iraq — although they have agreed on a 2008 budget that would not touch war funding and would not touch the Bush tax cuts. Now, wait ’til the kooks on the Democrat fringe hear about this! It’s going to leave Bush tax cuts intact in the 2008 budget, the Democrats version of the budget — and about that, here’s the New York Times headline: “Senate Democrats offer spending plan but no way to pay for it. ”

(Laughing.) What has that ever mattered to a Democrat?
