We did the research: John McCain was a prisoner of war in the Hanoi Hilton between 1967 and 1973. John F. Kerry was in the service, lieutenant, U.S. Navy, from 1966 to 1970. In 1971, Senator Kerry testified before Congress as a member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Kerry told Congress that U.S. soldiers raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable phones to human genitals and then turned on the power -and randomly shot people. He said all this while John McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton.

So we can safely say that while John McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton, John Kerry was in the Fonda funhouse. It would be an interesting question for Senator McCain to be asked. ‘While you were in the Hanoi Hilton, if you’d have been there when Kerry was doing what he was doing and heard about it, what would have been your reaction?’ You think it will ever happen? I doubt that it is going to happen.

John Kerry went over there, got his medals, was a great hero, came back and opposed everybody else who was there, and sabotaged them. Now he’s running for president and he needs a good vice presidential nominee. If Kerry wants to portray himself as he is and if he wants to please people who, on the one hand want to accept him as a great war hero and then at the same time accept him as an anti-war protester, then there’s no better vice presidential candidate for John Kerry than Lieutenant William Calley.
