Putting This Media Battle in Proper Perspective

by Rush Limbaugh - Jan 27,2004

CNN and the Miami Herald had the two best stories coming out of the press conference yesterday, and you can read them at the bottom of this page. CNN has not done the story on TV, but it is on their website, somewhat buried in their law section off of their front page.

Then, Roy Black was on Hannity & Colmes Monday night, and it was just awesome. Since it is the day of the New Hampshire primary, I waited until later into the show to play you some of the sound bites from the Hannity & Colmes program, so that our version of this story has a chance to get out there in a widely disseminated way.
I want to be honest. It makes me very uncomfortable to do this. It makes me very uncomfortable to have to do it, but it seems to be the only way right now of getting any mass distribution on our side of this, and since this is a media battle that’s taking place rather than a legal battle between me and the state attorney’s office down here, this is the way we’re going to have to play it. So I beg your indulgence on it. For those of you that didn’t see it, it’s quite fascinating. It’s paramount that no matter how badly this makes me feel, I have to take whatever steps I can to put it in proper perspective for you, the most important people to me in all of this, who want to know the truth, and who are the ones who have made this program what it is. So I hope you’ll forgive the indulgence I’m asking.
