Where are these polluters? Where do they meet? Where do they plan the destruction of the earth? This is just like recycling – you can’t be against it or you’re for trashing earth.
Yet the liberal mayor of New York City, Mike Bloomberg, who until recently was a Democrat, admitted the other day that recycling is a myth. It’s worthless! It hasn’t resulted in one benefit that was promised – other than in recycling paper. The Democrats aren’t just saying the Republicans don’t care about a little pollution.
They’re saying that there is a purposeful effort to put
Richard Nixon conceived the Environmental Protection Agency, folks. It’s the same thing on civil rights. A greater percentage of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Democrats, yet everybody thinks it’s the Republicans who stood in the way of it. Algore’s father voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964! Clinton’s mentor, J. William Fulbright, voted against it.
The truth: regulation of pollution is not strictly a Democrat thing. If it were, none of these regulations would ever have become law. George H. W. Bush signed the Clean Air Act. Now, if there was no advancement of the environment these past eight years, it was the Clinton-Gore’s fault! All they did the last term was Monica Lewinsky. They scream about Kyoto, but they didn’t pass it, did they? No! If the earth is a disaster, it’s their fault.
