RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, CNN actually broke away from coverage of the missing Malaysian<\/a> airliner today to cover President Obama and a little statement on Putin and Crimea and Ukraine<\/a> before getting on Marine One to head to Air Force One to come to Florida to play golf. Well, he\u2019s fundraising, but he\u2019s selling Obamacare and is probably gonna play golf. Well, wouldn\u2019t you, if you\u2019re Obama and you\u2019re a golf addict and you\u2019re going to Florida? <\/p>\n

So he\u2019ll probably gonna play golf. They actually broke away. The latest from CNN is that a black hole did it. One of their anchors actually posited that a black hole may have swallowed up the Malaysian airliner. They were serious. A black hole! We\u2019ll get to all of that, \u2019cause that also kind of ticks off the Stick-to-the-Issues Crowd. But first to the president of the United States. Three sound bites as the president announces even tougher measures to deal with the renegade, Vladimir Putin.<\/line><\/p>\n

OBAMA: The basic principles that govern relations between nations in Europe and around the world must be upheld in the Twenty-First Century. That includes respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s gone.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: The notion that nations do not simply redraw borders or make decisions at the expense of their neighbors simply because they are larger or more powerful.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There they are again! Barry, sorry. That\u2019s been done. Putin did it. So after Putin has redrawn the map, Barry comes up, “Hey, this is Twenty-First Century! We don\u2019t do it that way like this anymore.” It\u2019s just like Kerry, one of the original San Francisco Democrats. He said, “You guys in Russia, you can\u2019t keep acting out this Nineteenth Century foreign policy, this Twentieth Century foreign policy<\/a>. This is the Twenty-First Century.” <\/p>\n

And they say, “Oh, yeah? Watch me,” and they\u2019re doing it. Here\u2019s Obama. This is really tough, folks. This is really gonna inspire confidence out there in the Low-Information Crowd. “You can\u2019t just go out there and violate somebody\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It\u2019s the Twenty-First Century.” Except Putin did it. So after Putin did it, Obama goes out and tells him he can\u2019t do it. What do you think Putin\u2019s thinking? Here\u2019s the next warning from Obama.<\/p>\n

<\/a>OBAMA: We are not gonna be, uh, getting into, uh, uh, military excursion in Ukraine. Russia right now is violating international law and the sovereignty of another country. You know, might doesn\u2019t make right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, okay. So here\u2019s Putin. He goes out, he redraws the boundaries, and he adds a nation back into the Soviet Union. By the way, Mrs. Clinton a couple days ago said we hope that this doesn\u2019t happen again, meaning Estonia. And Estonia? Putin has said he\u2019s got designs on Estonia next. Anyway, I\u2019m getting ahead of myself. So Putin goes out, takes Ukraine, takes Crimea, and redraws the map.<\/p>\n

Obama goes out today and says: You can\u2019t do that! This is the Twenty-First Century. You can\u2019t go out and redraw maps. You can\u2019t go out and violate somebody\u2019s sovereignty. And furthermore — furthermore — we\u2019re not gonna do anything to stop you. We\u2019re not gonna be getting into military excursion in Ukraine. Might doesn\u2019t make right.” What do you think Putin\u2019s thinking about all this? Here\u2019s the next Obama bite.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: You know, the truth is Mr. Putin acted out of weakness, not all of strength.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: His strategic decisions, uh, are in no way based on, uh, whether he thought that, uh, we might go to war, uh, over this. Uh, I think there\u2019s a clear understanding that, uh, when it comes to our core interests for our NATO allies, we can protect ourselves.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Man, that is comforting. So even if Putin nukes up, arms up, we can protect ourselves. If he comes after us in NATO, we can protect ourselves. We\u2019re not gonna do diddly-squat. So after Putin redraws the map, Obama says, “You can\u2019t do that” and then says, “Might doesn\u2019t make right. We\u2019re not gonna do anything militarily. We\u2019re not gonna. You can\u2019t do that — and if you do do that, we can defend ourselves. You know, so screw you! What do you think Putin is thinking of all of this?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Vladimir Putin in the recording studio just last night, ladies and gentlemen. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s more hilarious, that song or Obama saying that Putin just annexed another country out of weakness<\/a>. Anyway, I\u2019m not gonna believe that Obama is seriously angry at Putin or any of these other top Russian officials that we\u2019re sanctioning until Obama unfriends them on Facebook. Then we\u2019ll know he\u2019s serious. If he takes that step, if he unfriends them on Facebook, then we know that it\u2019s serious — or at least until he announces he\u2019s not gonna do any more selfies with them. <\/p>\n
