RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: First-time caller. I got your book for Christmas, Rush Revere.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: My five-year-old, I wanted you to know, start reading \u2019em basically like a novel. It\u2019s something that we could read continuously every night.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I started reading him the Rush Revere book<\/a>. He loved it. I mean, he asked for it every night. We had some family come up, and there were some nights that we couldn\u2019t read it. He asked me every single night. Well, lo and behold, they started talking about history. They started talking about the Pilgrims and everything, and, apparently, he was answering questions and talking about the book in school. The teacher told him that he could bring the book in, and he brought the book in this morning. He was so excited to bring the book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is incredible! Five years old?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Five years old. At the end of the book, when you have that question — not the test, just the quick question right at the end about who taught Tommy how to sword fight, he immediately answered it. Immediately. As a parent, I thank you so much for that book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, hang on a minute. We just hit the break time. Don\u2019t hang up.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Back now to Don in Syracuse. Don, you know, I\u2019m so grateful, first, that you got through. Getting through calling this program is really a tough thing to do because so many millions of people are trying. I can\u2019t tell you — I can\u2019t adequately describe — the good feeling I get from hearing this. A five-year-old who loves the book, who wants to hear from it every night, and then wanted to take it to kindergarten.<\/p>\n

So the teacher let him bring it, and he was able to answer questions nobody else was able to answer because he\u2019d read it or had it read to him. And then was able to answer that question. Of course, the answer to the little question was Miles Standish. (I just want to prove to people that I know the answer to my own book\u2019s question.) I\u2019m so gratified, I can\u2019t tell you. This is one of these things. I wish this book were in every parent\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think it should be. I honestly didn\u2019t know how he was going to do it. Because we were doing, you know, books that took about five minutes to read.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, yeah, for a five-year-old, that makes sense. But this is a novel.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. When I explained to him this was gonna be a long book and everything, he just kind of looked at me. After the first night, you could see he was so, like, into that book. I couldn\u2019t believe it. Like I\u2019ve heard people on here say stuff, and I kind of said to myself, “Ehhh, I don\u2019t really know. He\u2019s going to talk up on it.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know what you thought. Can I tell you what you thought? You probably said, “Come on, Rush, enough of the kids, okay? We get it. You got a book out there, but stick to the issues,” something like that. Now your child has encountered the book and can\u2019t get enough of it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Can\u2019t get enough! When we finished the book, he immediately picked up that you had a second book. (laughing) He asked if they were gonna go somewhere else. (laughing) You know, “Where are they going next, the kids in the book?”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, let me take the occasion of your call here to learn something. What is it do you think…? Were you able to ascertain what he likes best about it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Liberty. (chuckles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s cool, because we have big things planned for Liberty. That\u2019s all I\u2019m gonna say.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Like I said, when we picked up on it the next night, I would ask him, “Do you remember what happened?” He immediately would say whatever Liberty had said, you know? I would kind of coax him a little bit into remembering, and he would remember. I mean, we may not have read the book for three nights and he would remember. We talked about it a little bit more, what we had talked about on the previous night. I am just so thankful. It\u2019s a great connection for him and I to have father-and-son time together. I love reading. I\u2019m so happy that he\u2019s into it. The most important part is that he took what he learned and went to school with it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It sounds like he wanted to take it to school.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m pretty sure he convinced the teacher to let him bring it in.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Five years old we\u2019re talking about here. You gotta forgive me, here, you stick-to-the-issues people. This is just too amazing.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think that what you\u2019re doing for our kids is awesome, Rush, and as a parent I so much appreciate it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you. Thank you. It\u2019s so unfortunate what they\u2019re being taught. <\/p>\n

CALLER: It is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, he\u2019s gonna be taught exact opposite of what he\u2019s learning in these books.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean, as a parent there are ways to counter it. I don\u2019t want to start any arguments with anybody, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s gonna be interesting. As he gets older he\u2019s gonna go to school, they\u2019re get into Pilgrims, and they\u2019re gonna tell him a bunch of garbage about it, and he\u2019s gonna have this book as his first learning experience. I\u2019m sure you\u2019ll prep him for it, but he\u2019s still gonna be little confused, and he\u2019s gonna say, “Wait a minute. No, no, no, because I read that…” Wherever he goes, they may trash the book. “Well, you can\u2019t believe what that author writes, Little Timmy,” blah, blah, blah. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I did show him in the back where you got all your information from. I did explain it to him that you didn\u2019t just make it up. Yes, there is no such thing as a talking horse — sorry to break it to everybody — but a lot of the information that you did put in the book happened. You gave where he could find that. I mean, to me, when you say something to somebody and you can back it up with proof, that\u2019s really what I think hits home.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s the thing. There\u2019s nothing in it for any of us to lie about this. There\u2019s nothing in it. The left has to do that because they are trying to spread things that aren\u2019t true, but we don\u2019t have to lie. There\u2019s nothing in it for me on this program or anywhere else. There\u2019s nothing in it. I gain nothing by lying. I gain nothing by building an audience built on lies. I gain nothing by it. In fact, it\u2019s the exact opposite. I tell you, you\u2019ve got both books, right, did I hear you say?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, we\u2019ve got the one book, the Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ohhhhh! Okay, cool. Well, here. Tell you what. What is your son\u2019s first name?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hunter.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: Hunter. Okay, I am gonna send you the audio versions read by me, unabridged, to both, and I\u2019m gonna send Hunter the second book, autographed by Liberty.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He will freak out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, Liberty\u2019s starting to get a little big-headed and protest all these autographs he has to sign, but I get his mind right. We had a photo session with him the other day, and he demanded to put on a suit and tie. I\u2019m telling you, we\u2019re losing control with the guy. But, anyway, if you\u2019ll give Mr. Snerdley an address then we\u2019ll get all that stuff out and we\u2019ll make sure Liberty signs the second book to Hunter.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, I appreciate it so much. Thank you from my family. Thank you so much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You can tell Hunter that there\u2019s gonna be a third book, too. But don\u2019t tell anybody else. Just keep it between us.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: I think teaching the truth about our country\u2019s history is the issue. Actually, teaching the truth about everything is the issue. But I\u2019m telling you: Teaching the truth about our country\u2019s history is the issue. That\u2019s where we first went off the tracks, when we allowed the multiculturalists to come in with their curricula. You remember the Reverend Jackson way back in the late seventies and early eighties?<\/p>\n

Coinciding with his presidential run, which was 1984, he\u2019d chant, “Hey, hey. Ho, ho. Western Civ has got to go!” Remember that? They\u2019re marching out at Stanford and a number of other places across the fruited plain, “Hey, hey. Ho, ho. Western Civ has got to go!” Western Civilization! The multiculturalists began to take over the public school system and began teaching literal rotgut. <\/p>\n

They began teaching literal lies, all oriented around the fact that this country was founded in an unjust and immoral way — and the country was, as such, illegitimate. We now have a president who came from that mode of education, and we have an administration populated with people who also believe that, because they were chosen by this president. <\/p>\n

That is what we\u2019re up against. We are up against people who are teaching anti-American history. The Blame-America-First Crowd has taken over the curriculum, all the way back to kindergarten but mainly elementary and into high school. Of course, it goes into the institutions of so-called higher learning. I think it is the issue, and it\u2019s crucially important. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
