RUSH: A sound bite that happened while I was away. This was on April the 18th, last Friday. You know the show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is still on the air? Regis Philbin used to host that show. Now it\u2019s Cedric the Entertainer who hosts Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and this is a portion of the program Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from last Friday. It\u2019s syndicated by ABC.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CEDRIC: Well let\u2019s play! (cheers and applause) A must-read for conservative kids, Rush Limbaugh has created a children\u2019s book character with what name? Rush Revere<\/a>, Rush Jefferson, Rush Washington, Rush Lincoln.<\/p>\n

MARK HURLEY: I\u2019m gonna have to — I\u2019m gonna have to jump this one.<\/p>\n

CEDRIC: A jump.<\/p>\n

MARK HURLEY: I don\u2019t know it. <\/p>\n

CEDRIC: All right, Mark, you decided to jump this question. It\u2019s now out of play. You were kind of thinking over them, but nothing really popped out. <\/p>\n

MARK HURLEY: Yeah, nothing. I don\u2019t know, recognize any of them as conservatives per se, so.<\/p>\n

CEDRIC: I gotcha. All right, cool. Let\u2019s see what the correct answer was, then. Rush Revere. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, that is interesting on a number of levels for me. A, it\u2019s interesting that already the Rush Revere character is being asked as a question on a game show. But note Cedric the Entertainer, “a must-read for conservative kids.” No, no, no, no, no. It\u2019s a must-read for every kid. But then he gives the contestant multiple choice options. Rush Revere<\/a>, Rush Jefferson, Rush Washington, Rush Lincoln, and the contestant says, “I don\u2019t know. I didn\u2019t recognize any of them as conservatives per se.” Now that…<\/p>\n

I know he did because Cedric the Entertainer set the question up that way, must-read for conservative kids, so he put the thought of conservatism in the contestant\u2019s head. But every damn one of those guys, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, the founders, they were all conservatives.
