RUSH: I\u2019ve been wondering here, folks, whose comments are more idiotic? And whose comments, in fact, are not only just more idiotic, but more dangerous: Donald Sterling\u2019s or John Kerry\u2019s? We mentioned what Kerry said<\/a> about Israel becoming an apartheid state. It turns out that that was a private meeting, and some reporter from The Daily Beast got past all the security at the Trilateral Commission — whoa — and recorded it, and now they\u2019re all apoplectic. It was a private comment to the conspirators at the Trilateral Commission. The world wasn\u2019t supposed to hear that. <\/p>\n

Yes, it was. That\u2019s where Kerry\u2019s being honest. That\u2019s where Kerry\u2019s telling the world what the Regime thinks of Israel. And what Kerry said was outrageous. There are Arabs in the Israeli government. They are elected. They\u2019re in the Knesset. I mentioned it yesterday. It\u2019s not only ridiculous and outrageous, it\u2019s stupid, what John Kerry said. And now he said (paraphrasing), “Well, you know, if I could rewind the tape I would say it all over again in a different way.” <\/p>\n

But of course there was no outrage when they caught Mitt Romney in private and his 47% comment. And this Donald Sterling stuff was in private and has been made public<\/a>. But they\u2019re only concerned about John Kerry\u2019s private comments being made public and how outrageous that is. I\u2019m just gonna tell you something, folks. While this country gets absorbed — and I gotta tell you something, Bernie Goldberg last night was on with Megyn Kelly on Fox. And Bernie Goldberg made a great point about all this, this Sterling business. <\/line><\/p>\n

He said (paraphrasing), “Take a look at the reaction to it. There is no way this is a racist country. There\u2019s not one shred of tolerance for what this guy said, might have said, might be thinking. There isn\u2019t one shred of tolerance. There\u2019s no way this is a racist country.” He\u2019s exactly right about that. But the Democrat Party strategizes using race. It\u2019s all they\u2019ve got for voter turnout coming up in the November midterms. But you\u2019ll notice that the Drive-By Media is still totally absorbed and devoted on what Donald Sterling said, and they\u2019re doing their best to sweep John Kerry\u2019s comments under the rug and pay no attention to them whatsoever. <\/p>\n

I mean, in the big scheme of things what difference does it make if a crackpot owns an NBA team? It\u2019s a pretty important thing if we have a crackpot running the State Department. And we do. And we got a crackpot at the Department of Justice, and we got a crackpot in the White House. We got crackpots throughout this Regime. <\/p>\n

RUSH: There was a piece in the New York Post by Michael Goodwin on Sunday. I printed it out, and I had it in the Stack yesterday. I didn\u2019t get to it \u2019cause I\u2019m not sure I believed it. <\/p>\n

But now maybe he\u2019s right. His column was all about how the media is turning on Obama, that they\u2019re admitting and they\u2019re recognizing he\u2019s just a total flop, particularly in foreign policy. And let\u2019s look at it. Drudge. Right before the program started, Drudge changed the lead on his page to: “Russia Threatens Astronauts Over Sanctions.” <\/p>\n

Now this dovetails with this idiot, John Kerry, and what he said “in private” to the Trilateral Commission. But let\u2019s look around the world for a second here. Vladimir Putin is reassembling the Soviet Union. You know, this might be a good time for me to go back and remind people of my 35 Undeniable Truths of Life written back in the late eighties. I think I might do that here in just a second. <\/p>\n

Well, even if that doesn\u2019t happen, Putin is reassembling the Soviet Union. Iran is building a nuclear bomb. The Middle East, Africa, southeast Asia, and much of Africa are being taken care of by Muslim extremists. Central and South America in our hemisphere is going communist. And what are we talking about? What is our government-controlled news media talking about? <\/p>\n

The racism of some crackpot owner of an NBA team, gay marriage, income inequality, or some socialist French economist named Thomas Piketty. That is to say what the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party, the daily soap opera script written by the Democrat Drive-By Media. It\u2019s class warfare, gender warfare. I have a story. Where is it? Do you know that there\u2019s a new glass ceiling?<\/p>\n

You know, women have the “glass ceiling.” Now there\u2019s a new story, the “glass cliff.” It\u2019s all about women who get hired as CEOs and then fail, and are replaced by white guys. It\u2019s just so unfair. I\u2019m not kidding. I\u2019ve got it in the Stack. Folks, it\u2019s gonna be a lollapalooza here today. The glass ceiling has become the glass cliff. (interruption) What do you mean, “Putin can\u2019t own a sports team, he\u2019s anti-gay”? <\/p>\n

He will adapt. <\/p>\n

If you give Putin the Clippers, he will adapt. This is our way of life. It\u2019s a brilliant move. Vladimir Putin owns the Clippers. Anyway, the world is enraged. The world is in flames, folks. Michael Goodwin wrote about it on Sunday in the New York Post. Our president\u2019s a big flop, and his point was that media now knows it. The media is traveling with Obama.<\/p>\n

The media is traveling with John Kerry, and the media is seeing how un-respected they are. I know it\u2019s “disrespected” but they command no respect. The media is seeing it, and they\u2019re comparing it to the lofty days of 2008. Obama was going to reunite the world and bring everybody together, and it\u2019s just not the case. I don\u2019t know that Goodwin is right that the media is turning on Obama, but he makes the point in his piece on Sunday. <\/p>\n

So what do we have? All of this is going on. We\u2019ve got class warfare. We\u2019ve got gay marriage. We\u2019ve got income inequality, gender warfare, Democrat-approved talking points, and the news media are doing it to salvage the Democrats\u2019 chances in the midterms. It\u2019s obvious, and it is disgraceful. I don\u2019t know, folks. <\/p>\n
