RUSH: There\u2019s an ABC News\/Washington Post poll out today, very, very bad for Obama. You know what that means? I\u2019ll tell you what it means: The poll numbers are so bad in this ABC poll, the White House is furiously calling every late-night comedy show trying to book Obama so they can get his numbers back up. That\u2019s what it means. <\/p>\n

I wonder if they\u2019ll go back to Between the Ferns like they did to supposedly miraculously save Obamacare. Now, here it is: “ABC News\/Washington Post Poll Shows Democrats At Risk In November As Obama\u00c2\u2019s Approval Rating Falls.” I think it\u2019s 41% in this poll. It\u2019s as low as it\u2019s ever been. Now, it\u2019s mentioned in the lead — let me read the lead to you here. <\/p>\n

<\/a> Folks, I am still fighting the ravages of this stupid crackpot common cold virus, and I just can\u2019t shake this. I was telling the chef today –you\u2019ll remember this, Snerdley — back in the chocolate doughnut days, I had a cold for six months back in the nineties, and I ended up having to go on a Caribbean cruise for two weeks and not say a word in order to order to get rid of it. I\u2019m not kidding. Panama Canal cruise. As I\u2019m going through the Panama Canal I had to listen some environmentalist wacko preach to me about how if we destroy the jungle, meaning the Amazon, that we destroy the world and so forth. I couldn\u2019t escape it even then. But I mean we\u2019re going on a month with this, so I\u2019m just mentioning it in case I miss the cough button a couple times. I apologize in advance. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the Washington Post lead on the poll stor<\/a>y: “Democrats face serious obstacles as they look to the November elections, with President Obama\u00c2\u2019s approval rating at a new low and a majority of voters saying they prefer a Congress in Republican hands to check the president\u00c2\u2019s agenda.”<\/p>\n

This is the Drive-By Media. This is state-controlled ABC\/Washington Post saying that they\u2019ve got a poll that says Obama\u2019s numbers are at a new low and a majority of voters say they want a Republican Congress to keep Obama in check. So they mention it in the lead, but then they bury that in the rest of the article. I\u2019m gonna tell you, I want to emphasize this because it\u2019s the most shocking finding in this poll, and I doubt you\u2019re gonna see it mentioned in places in the Drive-Bys. You\u2019ll hear \u2019em talk about the approval number and what it means for Obama. And I\u2019ll tell you what it means is they\u2019re gonna have to find some late-night comedy show to put him on in order to bring the numbers back up. <\/p>\n

But this is, I think, the most shocking finding in the poll. “Another measure…” Right there. “Another measure of voting intentions came when people were asked whether they thought it was more important to have Democrats in charge in Congress to help support Obama\u2019s policies or Republicans in charge to act as a check on the [Obama]\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n

“On this, [a whopping] 53% of voters,” in the Drive-By Media poll, “say Republicans” should be in charge of Congress to stop Obama, “and 39% say Democrats. That is almost identical to the results of the same question when it was asked in September 2010, two months before the GOP landslide.” It\u2019s almost identical. <\/line><\/p>\n

The number is almost identical to the same question in the same poll before the 2010 midterms. This means the Democrats and Obama are really gonna have to ramp up the racism and the class warfare now to try to overcome this. That\u2019s all they\u2019ve got. They don\u2019t have Obamacare. They don\u2019t have one single Obama policy they can point to, with pride, and say, “Reelect Democrats to keep this going!” <\/p>\n

It\u2019s just the exact opposite. This ABC News\/Washington Post poll says elect Republicans to stop this. And I\u2019m here to tell you, if the number reported is 53%, it probably is a little higher than that. So there is panic. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
