CALLER: Ugh. (sigh) Well, it\u2019s probably one of the few times or only times I\u2019m gonna speak to you, and I wish it was (sigh) with some more intelligent conversation, but we\u2019ll see if you get a laugh out of this. (sigh) I was listening to you the other day, and I had this thought and it made me laugh, and I could hear it coming from your voice and then you having to pick up over the weekend —<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, all right. Ah, ah, ah. Get rid of the caller. This is a setup and we\u2019re not gonna permit it. This guy says he could see me saying it, he could hear me saying it over the weekend. This is designed for Media Matters to run with tomorrow. Nice try, locoweed. It\u2019s too bad, \u2019cause I had a great rejoinder for the guy. But he revealed himself as a setup. (interruption)<\/p>\n

No, I\u2019m not gonna tell you. That\u2019s the whole point. (interruption) No, no, no, no. This guy calls here and he says, “You know what? I had a thought,” and then he gets on the air and says, “You know, I could hear you saying this, and it would have been really funny, and I just want to know if you\u2019ll say it.” No way. No way. (interruption) <\/line><\/p>\n

No, it\u2019s a funny question if he\u2019s asking it. It\u2019s not a funny question if he\u2019s gonna say, “I can hear you asking it.” This is a seminar caller setup from the get-go. I\u2019m surprised at you, Snerdley, for not seeing this. I mean, this is Seminar Caller 101. This guy was a snake! I could see it just seeing what he wanted to talk about. In fact, you don\u2019t know this. <\/p>\n

During the break I looked at what was up on line three, and I said, “Snerdley, what are you doing to me here?” Lo and behold, once again my instincts were spot on. (interruption) No, I don\u2019t. No, I don\u2019t! (interruption) I\u2019m sorry, they\u2019re not gonna know. I\u2019m not gonna tell \u2019em what the guy was gonna ask and what he said he could just hilariously hear me saying. No way. I\u2019m not gonna go there.<\/p>\n

You know, it\u2019s just like I opened the program “apologizing for what I said yesterday.” That\u2019s just to get Media Matters going back through the transcripts. I didn\u2019t say anything, but I figured if I apologized for what I said, they\u2019d go through there and try to find it. “Oh my God, he\u2019s apologizing? What did he say! What did he say!” I didn\u2019t say anything. I\u2019ll just tell you, the last call was about Michael Sam and the NFL. <\/p>\n

I mean, it had setup written all over it, and I\u2019ve been there.<\/p>\n
