Ben Sasse won the Republican primary in Lincoln, Nebraska, in Nebraska yesterday. And you don\u2019t hear the media saying the Tea Party\u2019s dead today because he is full fledge Tea Party. And of course the Department of Justice had to send in monitors. Yes, my friends, monitors, civil rights violations were likely, they thought, because it\u2019s the Tea Party showing up to vote. You know how corrupt the Tea Party is. Oh, you know how corrupt those people are, steal elections left and right. So the State Department, the Justice Department had to send monitors in there to make sure everything was on the up and up. Let\u2019s go back, I just want to remind you what I said on this program last Thursday about the Tea Party and the media and the upcoming midterms.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: The media is taking that Senate race in North Carolina, and predictably, they\u2019re running with the news that the Tea Party\u2019s dead, that it doesn\u2019t exist. All these powerful people came out and endorsed this candidate, went down in flames. It\u2019s the end of Ted Cruz. It\u2019s the end of Mike Lee. You Tea Party people may as well just give up and either join the Republican establishment or shut up and go home. I mean, that\u2019s the tenor of the coverage. And it\u2019s actually quite different.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: It wasn\u2019t the full story. It wasn\u2019t the whole story in North Carolina, but it seldom is when the Drive-Bys are reporting on Republicans or conservatives. So last night in Lincoln, Nebraska, at his campaign headquarters, Republican Senate candidate, and the president, by the way, of Midland University, Ben Sasse, spoke to his supports after his primary election win.<\/p>\n

SASSE: Kemp said that we can only fight big government with bigger ideas and that we have an obligation to offer alternatives to liberalism\u2019s path of decline. We have to offer real plans, renewed opportunity and conservative optimism and that\u2019s what this campaign has been about for the last eleven months and it\u2019s what it\u2019ll be about for the next 174 days. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, there you have it. Here\u2019s somebody openly indicting liberalism and the liberal path to decline. It\u2019s so easy to say. You just don\u2019t find Republicans willing to say it anymore. But Ben Sasse did, and he won. And then he talked about conservatism, opportunity, conservative optimism, real plans. It\u2019s what he did; it\u2019s what he\u2019s going to do. And he won. Admit it folks, it\u2019s what\u2019s so frustrating. The blueprint\u2019s there. The blueprint for huge Republican, conservative victory is there is there. It\u2019s just bypassed, it\u2019s ignored, and in fact it\u2019s impugned by even and especially the Republican Party establishment. Every time it\u2019s tried, a qualified person, every time it\u2019s tried, properly explained and articulated, it wins. <\/p>\n

Well, you might be saying, “Of course, it\u2019s Nebraska.” Ah, ah, ah, ah, it was a Republican primary. But it does win. This is what\u2019s so frustrating to all of us. These last — well, I don\u2019t know. I guess 2008 was sort of a fait accompli. There was no way a Republican was gonna win that race. And especially with our nominee then, there was not a prayer. Yeah, I mean, even before the financial crisis there was a prayer. That\u2019s the stunning thing. But then it all went to hell with the economic crisis. But the last two years have not been necessary, and the first four years of Obama, if there would have just been some opposition. <\/p>\n

But that\u2019s crying over spilt milk. Can\u2019t do anything about that now, so you have to just plant the feet and move forward. And Ben Sasse and others in the Tea Party are demonstrating how it\u2019s done. The blueprint is there. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
