RUSH: When we were last together on Friday of last week — it was Friday, right? You know, this has been a three-day weekend, but it really seems like it\u2019s been a long, long week, and it seems like it\u2019s been a long time since I\u2019ve been here. I was only in LA for two days, essentially. <\/p>\n

Anyway, when we last were together, John Conyers had failed to muster enough legal signatures to be on the ballot to serve another term in Congress that would total 52 years. I said that when they appealed this, and were gonna take it to a judge<\/a>, I said, “Don\u2019t sweat it, folks. If you\u2019re a Conyers fan in Michigan, they\u2019ll find a judge to say he\u2019s gonna –” I got e-mails. I was out on the golf course Friday afternoon. Oh, for you stick-to-the-issues people,<\/a> I was two under after six at Sherwood Country Club Friday afternoon after the program. Two under after six. I was playing out of my mind and then I got bad advice on the seventh hole and I lost my momentum. Still shot a great score, 82 or something, but I mean, it was like an out-of-body experience. Could not do anything wrong. <\/p>\n

<\/a>Anyway, I started getting e-mails out there. “You were right. You predicted it. Conyers, they found a judge. He\u2019s on the ballot.” Right here it is. I just wanted to mention this to you. It\u2019s not a big deal in the big scheme of things, considering the other news items out there. I just wanted to let you know that yet another prediction made by your host came through within minutes of it being made. <\/p>\n

“A federal judge threw US Rep. John Conyers a political lifeline Friday, ordering the Detroit Democrat onto the Aug. 5 primary ballot because his lawsuit to overturn a Michigan election law is likely to succeed.” And that\u2019s because it\u2019s going to be found to be unconstitutional by an obliging liberal judge, even though the states are specifically granted the right to run their own elections by the Constitution. They found a federal judge. Yeah, I can\u2019t tell you. I was just overloaded with people sending me: “You were right.” It didn\u2019t even take an hour. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
