RUSH: I got an e-mail moments ago which is a Mediaite story on Megyn Kelly<\/a> and her show on Fox News last night. Now, the e-mail says, the headline: “Megyn Kelly: The Obama Presidency Is ‘Imploding.\u2019 — Megyn Kelly opened her show tonight [last night] tearing into the Obama White House for what increasingly looks like an ‘imploding\u2019 presidency, given scandal after scandal after scandal the White House has found itself engulfed in, both domestically and abroad. Kelly opened with this simply question: ‘Is Barack Obama\u00c2\u2018s presidency imploding?'”<\/p>\n

And, look, it depends on how you look at it, but I don\u2019t think that it is. If you are gonna judge it on its competence, yeah. But it\u2019s been imploding on that basis since day one. My belief is the guy\u2019s never been competent. My belief is he\u2019s never had the kind of experience necessary to be president of this country. And I think you need to look no further than what David Brooks of the New York Times said: “I love the crease in his slacks.” He wasn\u2019t joking. So they talk about, well, he\u2019s intelligent, and he\u2019s an articulate guy, and so that means he\u2019s one of us. He\u2019s an Ivy Leaguer. He thinks and speaks and talks like we do, and we are smart, so he\u2019s smart. <\/p>\n

Practical experience. There isn\u2019t any. And nobody in his Regime has any experience in anything other than theorizing in the faculty lounge what they would do if they ever took over. Here\u2019s what I think. I\u2019m gonna give you another possibility. Here is another possibility, folks. I want to take a break here, come back with the possibility, because some of what Obama is doing is clearly undermining the electoral chances of Democrats who are up for reelection. <\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s not. Obama will never have to face the voters again. But everybody in office in the Democrat Party will, in November this year and again November of 2016. And he is pulling the rug out from all of them. I don\u2019t care, this open borders stuff, what\u2019s happening with the VA, what\u2019s happening with Iraq, he\u2019s making everybody mad at everybody. Now, where I\u2019m headed with this, just give you a little tease question: What if Obama actually would like for the Republicans to take over the Senate and keep the House? <\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: So what if Obama wants the Republicans to win the Senate? In the last two years of his Regime — oh, can you just hear it now? Everything he wants to do, the Republicans say “no.” Everything he wants to do, they stop him. Obama runs around and complains and starts pointing fingers at the Republicans as enemies of progress and whatever. The press carries that along and everybody ends up hating the Republicans, setting up the Democrats to win again in 2016? Not beyond the realm of possibility. <\/p>\n

I also wouldn\u2019t be surprised to learn that one of the things Obama would love is for the Republicans to actually impeach him, \u2019cause he thinks that would bring about a Democrat landslide. He\u2019s not gonna look at this NBC\/Wall Street Journal poll. He\u2019s gonna see his popularity down, but he\u2019s still gonna see, he\u2019s still gonna think that he\u2019s loved and adored because he\u2019s the first black president. Anybody that tries to impeach him is going to catch hell. <\/line><\/p>\n

I have thought even prior to today that Obama is trying to goad Republicans into doing this. Because he\u2019s confident the American people will be outraged. No way are we gonna impeach Obama. So just something to think about. ‘Cause some of this stuff — he\u2019s just getting warmed up. Some of the things that he\u2019s doing are gonna make it real hard for Democrats who are running for reelection, make no mistake. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
