RUSH: To Brooksville, Kentucky. This is Vickie. Vickie, welcome. Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you very much, sir. And I absolutely do not agree with the previous caller. I think he\u2019s full of beans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, wait. Don\u2019t be too hard on the guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckles) Well, I\u2019m not.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The guy —<\/p>\n

CALLER: But, I mean, you\u2019ve never put yourself out there as being the leader of the Republican Party, and if he\u2019d listened to this program long enough, he would know that. That\u2019s what I\u2019m saying.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. I understand that. I understand that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And he was being a little snarky in the way he said it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, he was. (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I totally… I appreciate your being offended by it. I do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: For your sake.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, on the other hand, he\u2019s frustrated and he wishes somebody would do something, and he thinks I\u2019ve got the power to do it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I understand that. So do I. But, you know, I mean, you can\u2019t beat a dead horse and apparently that\u2019s what we\u2019re trying to do. Nonetheless, my question is this. I\u2019m a nurse. I\u2019m retired, but I was a nurse, an RN for many years. I worked in the ICU and the ER. My question is that the Ebola thing is supposed to be extraordinarily hard to get, and yet we have two nurses who worked with the patient who have since gotten Ebola.<\/line><\/p>\n

And how they\u2019ve gotten it, we don\u2019t have any idea really, yet, and no one\u2019s given us a good idea how they got it. But the people that lived in the home with Mr. Duncan and breathed the same air and were exposed to his sweat and his vomit and his profuse diarrhea haven\u2019t gotten it. So can somebody please give me an idea as to how that occurred?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, let me turn that around on you for just a second.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me rephrase what you\u2019ve just said.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Only two people in the country have Ebola, and they were both people that treated him in the hospital.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good question. A lot of people came in contact with him and his precious bodily fluids and didn\u2019t contract the disease.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So why not? Could you not…? If you wanted to be optimistic, couldn\u2019t you say that\u2019s a good sign? That the only two people that have it, that we know of so far, are medical people, nurses who treated him? In other words, maybe the casual-contact thing is right. Maybe they\u2019re right; maybe it is hard to get.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Maybe, but I\u2019m just not buying it because they lived where he was having these profuse bodily fluids that were highly contagious. When he went back to the hospital, he was almost at death\u2019s door.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So why —<\/p>\n

CALLER: He had a huge temperature and all this stuff that they lived in the same house with for four more days prior to the CDC even removing them from the apartment.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, so what is the nature of your suspicions. Are you mad they didn\u2019t get it? No, of course not. So what\u2019s the nature of your suspicion?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not mad; I\u2019m curious. It makes no medical sense. It makes no medical sense.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It makes no medical sense in the context of you believing what you\u2019ve been told, but don\u2019t you kind of think that people running this show don\u2019t know what they\u2019re talking about on a lot of it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that could very well be, too. I hadn\u2019t taken that into consideration. But I\u2019m just finding it extraordinarily hard to believe that a nurse may have had her neck exposed and had some little dot of fluid get on her neck, and she obtained it, whereas these people lived in the house with the sheets and everything else is —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right, the piling.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — and the people were still in the house!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. The pilings of the waste and all that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I find that extraordinary. There\u2019s something going on that we\u2019re just not being told about, and that\u2019s my fear.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we had two missionaries contract the disease in Africa.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And they were flown home, and they were both cured with the assistance of the MZapp, ZZapp, whatever it was.<\/p>\n

CALLER: ZMapp. (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, the serum that they find from the Kentucky tobacco plant.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. I made this point last week. So far the only two people come down with the disease are those who came in contact with him in the hospital. But last week —<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I find that to be awfully curious.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, again, then I must say: We don\u2019t know that they got this because of splotches of precious bodily fluids on their necks. Where did you hear that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019m assuming that because that was the only part that was not covered.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, no, no! They did. They put tape and stuff around their necks.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. But they didn\u2019t have the big hazmat suits —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, they didn\u2019t. They were wearing shields, and they had gowns.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And latex gloves.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And then you look at… Now, but here: I know why you\u2019re confused. You go to Africa, and doctors in full hazmat gear did get it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Family members got it that were in close contact. So it\u2019s curious. I just don\u2019t think we know. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything more than that to explain this. We just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just find it horribly… As a medical professional, I\u2019m finding this whole story a bit unbelievable in that there\u2019s —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, what do you really think, Vickie? You have 10 seconds. What do you really think? What do you not believe about this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not believing that it is contracted the way that they\u2019re saying it\u2019s contracted. Basically that\u2019s my point.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. All right. I have to take a break. I\u2019ve gotta go. She doesn\u2019t believe it\u2019s spread the way they\u2019re telling us. Pure and simple. That\u2019s what we were aiming for, and we got it. With a little patience, we got it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi. I just called, we were talking about the Ebola thing, and I have a daughter that works in an emergency room. She\u2019s a nurse, and they had a patient that came in from Africa a short while back claiming to be sick. So they brought her in, they put the patient in isolation and everything. The doctors wouldn\u2019t even go in the room to look at the patient because they said they had no experience and knew nothing about this disease. So the nurses had to suit up and go in.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are kidding us.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. That\u2019s what she said. She said so it was up to us, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Come on.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — they had to go in and do whatever it had to be done to test, to make sure the patient didn\u2019t have Ebola. But the doctors wouldn\u2019t even go in there because they said they knew nothing about this disease, had no idea how to treat it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: When was this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not sure the exact day it was. Just a short while ago.<\/p>\n

RUSH: During this recent outbreak?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s unbelievable. The doctors wouldn\u2019t go in there, they ordered the nurses to?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I can\u2019t you. They had to go in. They —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, did they?<\/p>\n

CALLER: — had go in and the doctors wouldn\u2019t, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, did they? Did the nurses go in?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. At least my daughter did. She suited up and she said they had a very limited supply of those respirator type masks that\u2019s used and I guess those are only good for a certain amount of hours or something —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — but, anyway, she so she suited up and went in. I don\u2019t know how many other nurses had to go in. But she said here they wouldn\u2019t even go in, but we had to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, this is just one of those things that just doesn\u2019t sound right. I mean, I\u2019m not disputing you. Don\u2019t misunderstand. But I\u2019ve just never heard of this. I mean, I could understand the doctor not wanting to go in there, but, “You go in there, Mabel, I ain\u2019t going! I don\u2019t know what this thing\u2019s about. You go in there!”<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whatever happened to women and children first? Women and children first now is, “You take the plunge, babe. I\u2019m going in last.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was really concerned about all the stuff going around with her being in emergency, you know, everything comes in there. So I had told her to be careful, and then she told me this the other day, and I didn\u2019t really have a chance to question her too much about it or anything, but that\u2019s what she told me. She said she thought it was kind of odd that they wouldn\u2019t even go in there but the nurses had to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I appreciate that information and the phone call. There\u2019s stuff happening with this, and I do not blame people for being alarmed, scared, frightened. It\u2019s a disease with the mortality rate anywhere from 70 to 90%, and there hasn\u2019t been any confidence inspired, the way the Regime has dealt with this. But that\u2019s still a first for me. You know, the Titanic, it was women and children first into the lifeboats. But now, the doctors are saying, “Get outta my way, I\u2019m leaving the hospital. If you want to go in there and find out what\u2019s going on, go right ahead and put it on the chart and I\u2019ll see it tomorrow.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
