RUSH: If there was a word, if there was a word that I would attach to the news today, it would be “clarity.” Some things are starting to come into focus. Well, to people like you and me they have been in focus for a long time, but that focus and that clarity is starting to be reflected in the Drive-Bys as they continue to spin for what they now obviously believe is gonna be a pretty big Republican win one week from today. <\/p>\n

I know some of you might think, “Hey, Rush, don\u2019t be fooled. They\u2019re sandbagging.” I don\u2019t think so, folks. I think they\u2019ve given it their best shot and now we\u2019re a week out and they have to be focused and concerned with their credibility. <\/line><\/p>\n

CNN poll: “Voters Are Angry<\/a>.” Seventy percent of Americans are angry at the direction the country\u2019s headed. Fifty-three percent disapprove of Obama\u2019s job performance. These numbers continue to worsen. The news on Ebola today, in the Washington Post: “No Unity Over Ebola Monitoring of Travelers.” There isn\u2019t any unity. There is no singular policy. It is an absolute joke, and the reason it\u2019s an absolute joke is because of Obama. <\/p>\n

You know, I joked yesterday <\/a>we needed to quarantine Governor Christie. It turns out actually we need to quarantine Barack Obama. And apparently the Ebola czar is already in quarantine \u2019cause we can\u2019t find the guy, Ron Klain. Although did you tell me there was a rumored sighting of the Ebola czar yesterday? (interruption) Well, that\u2019s true. The Ebola czar\u2019s fingerprints — Elizabeth Warren is out there accusing Governor Christie of politicizing this. If anybody\u2019s politicizing the Ebola response, it\u2019s the Regime by hiring Klain, who doesn\u2019t know a thing about Ebola or anything related to health. <\/p>\n

It was Ron Klain who sent that message out yesterday that Governor Cuomo, Governor Christie are off the reservation and not behaving and not following national orders on this. Elizabeth Warren has picked up on that, and she\u2019s trying to make that claim as well. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, the (sigh) combination of Ebola and the way it\u2019s being handled and dealt with — and the news coming in on the sour conditions, status quo situation for the Democrat Party — are almost inseparable. They almost make the same point. For example, Elizabeth Warren is now demanding that Governor Christie back up his quarantine on returning Ebola health workers with “science.”<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Warren. We call her “Fauxahontas” because she claims that she has 1\/500th of a percentage of Indian blood, which qualifies her as a minority of some sort. It was some stupid pandering thing she said during her campaign for the Senate. The woman wouldn\u2019t know… This is the woman who said, “You didn\u2019t build that! Mr. Factory Owner, you didn\u2019t build any of that. All the rest of us built that for you.<\/p>\n

“You just take advantage of everybody\u2019s hard work, but you didn\u2019t pay anybody anything. You didn\u2019t build that.” So she\u2019s out there demanding that Governor Christie now back up his quarantine on returning Ebola health workers with “science,” but she is not demanding that Obama back up the army\u2019s contact with soldiers, who also had no contact with soldiers.<\/p>\n

<\/a>It sounds to me like Ms. Warren hasn\u2019t read the latest CDC guidelines which recommend quarantining anybody who had contact with bodily fluids of Ebola patients. I mean did Nurse Hickox not have any contact with the bodily fluids of Ebola patients? How would that be possible? But for this Regime and anybody in support of this Regime to demand that governors use “science” when this Regime isn\u2019t anywhere near science? <\/p>\n

This Regime is who has politicized this. The Regime is responsible for all the differing quarantine regulations out there because they can\u2019t decide on one. The Army\u2019s got its procedures. Governor Cuomo and Governor Christie had theirs. The White House didn\u2019t like Governor Cuomo\u2019s and Governor Christie\u2019s so they put pressure on them to accede. Governor Christie\u2019s claiming that he didn\u2019t. <\/p>\n

Governor Christie\u2019s claiming that he didn\u2019t accede to Obama\u2019s wishes. He said he determined that this nurse, after 24 hours, was not exhibiting anything and was free to leave, but he isn\u2019t doing anything in response to President Obama. Now, Elizabeth Warren on CBS also claimed this morning that Republicans in Congress had voted to cut spending for medical research in the National Institutes of Health, which we know is a blatant lie. <\/p>\n

We\u2019ve spelled this out I don\u2019t know how many times before. It\u2019s in newspapers, too, but the point is: Even to take that debate up is a trap. Because Republicans, we don\u2019t believe in Big Government. We don\u2019t believe in massive spending. So then to go out and take credit for it kind of irritates some people. But the point is they\u2019re lying about it! Republicans didn\u2019t cut any funding for this. <\/p>\n

You know, the Democrats are back just today with Republicans want to cut Social Security and cut Medicare. It\u2019s a 50-year-old playbook they\u2019re using. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let\u2019s turn to Ebola for just a second here. The Washington Post<\/a> has a story: “No Unity Over Ebola Monitoring of Travelers.” No consistent leadership. A chaotic brawl. States going their own way. Governor Christie claims (imitating Christie), “I\u2019m not kowtowing to anybody. I\u2019m using a common sense approach that the federal government wasn\u2019t taking. I\u2019m not sitting around waiting for them. You don\u2019t need to quarantine me, like Rush Limbaugh suggested.”<\/p>\n

It was a jocular, lighthearted moment when I suggested quarantining Governor Christie. Actually, we need to quarantine Klain. Actually, he may be in quarantine. Has anybody seen the guy? You know what Ron Klain\u2019s doing? Ron Klain is the author of the attacks on Christie and Cuomo. Ron Klain\u2019s a politician. Ron Klain\u2019s a fundraiser. And he\u2019s a spender. He\u2019s good at spreading the walking-around money around. But he\u2019s not a science guy. He\u2019s not a health guy. The Ebola czar doesn\u2019t know anything about Ebola. He handles the politics of it. Because, folks, with everything, the Democrat Party, Obama, you name, it\u2019s all politics. Everything about everything is measured in terms of will it help or hurt Obama and how much can it help or hurt Obama. <\/line><\/p>\n

And here in this Washington Post story they actually allude to the fact you can\u2019t criticize the president in an election year. (imitating WaPo) “This is unseemly. A governor to do that?” Criticizing Christie for criticizing Obama. “You don\u2019t do this in an election year. We need unity on this!” There isn\u2019t any unity. And there isn\u2019t any unity because you don\u2019t have any leadership coming down the pike from Washington. Washington wants everybody to listen to them, but they don\u2019t have any unity. <\/p>\n

Try this, folks. This is from Fox News<\/a>: “A top Republican congressman claims the Obama administration is exploring plans to bring non-US citizens infected with Ebola to the United States for treatment. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News that his office has received ‘information from within the administration\u2019 that these plans are being developed. So far, only American Ebola patients have been brought back to the US for treatment from the disease epicenter in West Africa. Goodlatte warned that expanding that policy could put the country at more risk.” <\/p>\n

It makes perfect sense to me. If you\u2019re gonna have amnesty, if you\u2019re gonna grant amnesty to nine million to 34 million illegals. If you\u2019re not gonna shut the Southern border. If you\u2019re going to do all of that, then why wouldn\u2019t you bring Ebola patients to the United States? And can I hearken back to that guest on CNN<\/a>, I can never remember this guy\u2019s name, the author of the Ebola book, said we can\u2019t turn our backs on Liberia. With our past, with our slave past, we can\u2019t turn our backs on them. I can never remember this clown\u2019s name. <\/a>Quammen. That\u2019s it. Quammen, as in Quonset hut. Quammen, that\u2019s how I\u2019ll remember it, Quonset hut. He\u2019s written this book about Ebola upside down, left and right, inside out, whatever, and we don\u2019t dare turn our backs on these people. <\/p>\n

What in the world? Why would we bring patients in? I thought we had to contain it over there. Does the CDC guy not know what the Regime is planning? The CDC guy says, “No, no, no, no. No, no, no. We can\u2019t ban flights from there \u2019cause we gotta contain the disease there.” Right. That makes a lot of sense. We\u2019re not gonna ban flights so that we can contain the disease. That\u2019s right. We gotta contain the disease. We can\u2019t ban flights because then we couldn\u2019t get our aid workers in. Really? We couldn\u2019t get \u2019em out. Charters? Troops got in and out. We get into disaster areas in and out without commercial. What the hell is this? <\/p>\n

So the CDC guy is saying, “No, no, no. We can\u2019t ban flights because we gotta be able to get over there. We gotta contain the disease in Africa,” and now the Regime\u2019s thinking about bringing Ebola patients from Africa into America? Now, why would you do that? What possible thought process could you have? What would be your objective? Why would you do this? Goodlatte said, “Members of the media, my office have received confidential communications saying that those plans are being developed.” Plans the Regime is developing to bring Ebola patients in Africa, non-citizens, to America. <\/p>\n

“This is simply a matter of common sense that if you are concerned about this problem spreading — and this is a deadly disease that we\u2019re even concerned about the great health care workers when they come back not spreading it — we certainly shouldn\u2019t be bringing in the patients.<\/p>\n

Why would you do this? Compassion? Really? How many people are we talking about bringing now? I mean, if they\u2019re really thinking of this, last count I heard there were 8,000 infected, 4,000 some odd, maybe a little more have died, so what would that mean? Four-thousand patients still there? How are we gonna choose which ones come? Or are we gonna bring \u2019em all? A lottery? Bring \u2019em all? That would mean charting flights. How are you gonna do that? Ah, that\u2019s right, the military, a bunch of C5a\u2019s, a bunch of C-17\u2019s. There you go. <\/p>\n

Yeah, we can take \u2019em off the Boko Haram detail. You heard about that? That hashtag, by the way, working great, 30 more kids kidnapped. This time little boys and little girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. The hashtag #bringbackourgirls<\/a>, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s working. I think Boko Haram has a hashtag, #needmoreboys. They took some. I\u2019m not kidding. I\u2019m not making this up. <\/line><\/p>\n

Remember how we had the hashtag and everybody thought it was meaningful, and I got raked over the coals for having no compassion for pointing out that this was a silly measure. I mean, it might have made people engaged and feel better, but it wasn\u2019t gonna accomplish anything. It wasn\u2019t gonna get the girls back, a hashtag on Twitter. <\/p>\n

So, anyway, so now Bob Goodlatte claims the Regime is seriously thinking of bringing noncitizens to the US for Ebola treatment. Okay, look, since the Regime does everything with a political point attached to it, could this about the African-American vote? I mean, they can\u2019t get \u2019em here soon enough, but just the announcement that we\u2019re thinking of it, could that be a signal to the African-American vote of solidarity? Well, why else would you do this? From whom do you want the compassion? I mean, okay, you\u2019re doing it for compassion, therefore you want people to say, “Oh, man, look at Obama, how much compassion,” who do you want saying that? What\u2019s the benefit?<\/p>\n

There has to be a benefit or they\u2019re not gonna do it. Could it be — no. No. It can\u2019t be. It can\u2019t be that. It can\u2019t be a policy rooted in fairness, meaning it\u2019s not fair since Liberia does exist because of us. It\u2019s not fair that only they have it. So since they\u2019ve got it, we have got to treat them? (interruption) Who thinks like that? Everybody who is full on politically correct thinks this way. That\u2019s the point. If slavery is responsible for Liberia, and Liberia has a lot of cases of Ebola, then the politically correct would conclude that if we had never had slavery, there wouldn\u2019t be a Liberia and therefore Liberians wouldn\u2019t exist and therefore they wouldn\u2019t have Ebola. <\/p>\n

So Ebola is traceable to US slavery. We\u2019ve got a guy who\u2019s written a book that says that. It\u2019s not me. We got a guy, a CNN guest, who said this. Okay, so since that would not be fair, since it\u2019s our responsibility, maybe it is then our responsibility to treat them. I mean, this is how the politically correct think. If you are a devout politically correct thinker, one of the requirements is that the United States is guilty. I mean, that\u2019s why there is political correctness. The US is guilty. The US is responsible, the US is to blame for all of the success, the disadvantages others have, the poverty they have, or the wealth that we have, it\u2019s all our fault. <\/p>\n

Political correctness is designed to end judgment, inequality, unfairness, and to address grievances stemming from all of that. (interruption) Hillary said who about… (interruption) Oh. Bill Clinton. Let\u2019s think about that. Mr. Snerdley has reminded me there was a genocide in Rwanda. The Tutsis and the Hutus went at it, and one of them ended up being wiped out, I forget which, the Hutus and the Tutsis, I don\u2019t remember which. It happened when Clinton was president and he discussed the guilt that he felt and the culpability, responsibility, because he didn\u2019t do anything. And he did say that he wished he had a do-over vis-a-vis Rwanda. <\/p>\n

So what would the do-over have been? Or did he not really want a do-over, he was just saying he wanted a do-over so that people would think he\u2019s a good guy and was really suffering and in pain over what happened and so forth? Anyway, who knows why, but the Regime is planning, they\u2019re considering bringing non-citizens to the United States for treatment. I gotta take a quick time-out here, my friends, and gather all of my thoughts, \u2019cause I\u2019m — (laughing) You realize this only makes sense in a couple of scenarios, and we don\u2019t want to consider those scenarios.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me advance a theory. Why would Obama, somebody in the Regime, tell somebody in Congress (leak it or whatever) that the Regime was considering bringing Ebola patients from West Africa to the United States? What if the answer to that is this: What if what Obama is trying to do is cause Republicans to react in outrage and anger so that Obama and the media can then say:<\/p>\n

“Look at these mean people! All we\u2019re trying to do is help. These people are suffering from Ebola; we\u2019re the world\u2019s superpower. We have the best ability to treat them. President Obama cares. He\u2019s just thinking about maybe bringing some here, and look at those Republicans with no compassion. They\u2019re mean-spirited.”<\/p>\n

Maybe that\u2019s the objective. I wouldn\u2019t put it past them. That would be their equivalent, if you will, of trying to find the next Todd Akin, which the Democrats are constantly on the look out for: Some Republican candidate to say some embarrassing thing. <\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: I am so angry with this nurse from Maine, Kaci Hickox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: She complains about being inconvenienced. She has no idea the sacrifice, the inconvenience that we in the military go through. My husband\u2019s 24-years retired military. My future son-in-law is on his third tour in Afghanistan right now. We\u2019re not sure when he\u2019s coming home. When I hear people like her, who I consider a prima donna, complaining about how inconvenienced she was \u2019cause she had to sit in a tent and eat a granola bar?<\/p>\n

My husband sat for two weeks in a hangar eating MREs waiting to be deployed. <\/p>\n

They don\u2019t have a clue. They use the military when they need them for an emergency — like, I can\u2019t believe they sent our troops to the Ebola region — but any other time they don\u2019t want to have anything to do with us. We get terrible VA care. Whenever they cut military budgets, it\u2019s what goes to families or the service member. You know, I am so angry about it, and every time I see something on the TV…<\/p>\n

If my TV weren\u2019t so expensive, I think I\u2019d have thrown something and broke the TV. I\u2019m going out today to get your new book because I don\u2019t have… My kids are 25 and 28. I don\u2019t have any grandkids yet. April, I think. I\u2019m gonna pick up your book now, today, even with my children at their age. Because when they were young, my husband was gone all the time.<\/p>\n

He was a flying crew chief and everything that came down the pike, he volunteered for. So he was always gone. My kids come to me even now when they have to make big life decisions. They talk to me about it, not their dad, because I think they got closer to me growing up because he was always gone. I mean, they have a good relationship with their father. He\u2019s the one they go to the movies with or play cards with or sit and kid around with. But when it\u2019s life decisions, they come to me. I really feel that that\u2019s because he was gone so much and they depended so much on me when they were young.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I totally understand that, but I tell you: Just having talked to you for a couple of minutes here, I think your kids are in great hands.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling) Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, thank you! My kids are wonderful. They are very smart.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But this nurse. This nurse is a hardcore Obama supporter, and, as such, is classically spoiled.<\/p>\n
