RUSH: I want to say something here, and I purposely did not mention this in the first hour, \u2019cause I constantly am trying to demonstrate that I do not look at you all as customers. I\u2019ve tried to make this point clear for 25 years. There are a lot of other media people out there, networks and so forth, that look at you as customers, and I do not, and I never have. <\/p>\n

So I try not to go overboard on Rush stuff, and I have always cared deeply about this, and I\u2019ve gone to great lengths to avoid it. But I just want to tell you all that you… As far as I\u2019m concerned, you are the best audience in all of media. You are the most supportive, you are the most loyal, you are obviously the brightest, and it is a sheer honor and delight to do this and have an audience made up of people like you. Quality, intelligent people like you. <\/line><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

The third Rush Revere book hit yesterday<\/a>, and it\u2019s far and away #1 at Amazon<\/a>, #1 everywhere, and something else that happened yesterday. We started making mention of the DVD of America: Imagine the World Without Her. It\u2019s the #1 Amazon DVD. That\u2019s all because of you, folks. I\u2019m in a constant state of appreciation for all of you. (chuckling) I just don\u2019t know how else to say it. I go to great lengths to avoid talking about this much at all.<\/p>\n

‘Cause the broadcast time here, the content portion of the program is very precious, and there are important things going on. These Rush Revere books are part of the mission of the program, and the mission is to get the truth of American history to as many young people as possible so they know the truth, so they can love the country, so they can have respect for it, so they can cherish it — but more importantly, so they can understand it.<\/p>\n

The exceptionalism of it, the uniqueness of it, the absolute miracle that is this country. It will only survive as founded if people can relate to the founding, if people can understand it, if people have a way of never forgetting their appreciation for what the people who founded this country went through. The effort that has been underway for years to impugn them, to insult them, to misrepresent them, has gained a lot of traction, and there are — it\u2019s very sad — millions of Americans who have a very negative view of this country and its founding. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s been done on purpose by people who are not particularly pleased to be Americans or with America itself. There\u2019s a lot of effort that goes into these books. We\u2019re a small group of people that are slaving away putting these things out, and this is… How I say it? It\u2019s close to our hearts. It\u2019s not just a commercial enterprise. So I just want to say thank you, basically, \u2019cause you all just continue to dazzle and amaze me. We announce these things, they\u2019re up for sale, and you never know how it\u2019s gonna go.<\/p>\n

<\/a>I wish there were a way for me to share the joy that we all get from all of you appreciating and liking what we do, be it me on the radio or those of us in the books. So I just wanted to say this. I normally reserve a message like this for around Thanksgiving or Christmas, but we\u2019re close enough, and I just wanted to share that with you because it is something, I guarantee you, it will be impossible for me to ever take it for granted. To me, it\u2019s always something to prove, and I know that your expectations are high. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s meeting and surpassing \u2019em each day. Anything that we do here, it\u2019s an objective. When it\u2019s validated by your actions such as launching this book — and not only did the new book go through the roof, but the first two sales skyrocketed as well. Of course, I can understand it; the books are good, and this third one is such an important book because of its tie-in to present day military, being dedicated to the military. You know the story. <\/p>\n
