CALLER: Thank you, Rush. I\u2019m really happy to talk to you today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I got through yesterday and then had a problem but couldn\u2019t hold on. I turned 70 yesterday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, happy birthday! Happy birthday to you!<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, well, I wasn\u2019t too happy about that seven-zero. I\u2019ve always ignored birthdays and just gone on with life because I have a really large family and lots of things to do and work. You know, I go up to my mountain, do the trail and all those things. But yesterday I was kind of looking for something to celebrate, and I listen to you every day. In fact, I listen to talk radio pretty much all the day. <\/p>\n

And when you said your new books had been released, I thought, “Now, there\u2019s something to celebrate,” because our children are so brainwashed. Our children and grandchildren — great-grandchildren in our case — are so brainwashed in the schools and in society today that it is really with gratitude that I make this call and thank you for all the things you helped us with over the years.<\/p>\n

<\/a>I thought it was kind of silly different times when I\u2019ve heard people say, “Oh, thank you, Rush, for what you do.” But I asked my husband of almost 48 years, “Do you think our kids would be as conservative as they are,” and they vary, but they\u2019re basically conservative, some very conservative, “if we hadn\u2019t started listening to Rush in the beginning?” And we decided, “No, they probably wouldn\u2019t be,” because of all the good information that you\u2019ve given us over the years.” Now we have nine children and with greats and grands, we have just about 50.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fifty, did you say?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Five zero.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Five zero.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, five zero.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I have some bad news. You know how when you call, you want to say all these things? I thought some of the main things that I\u2019d like to say quickly is I have bad news for the feminists. There are powerful women, there are intelligent women out here who love life and who love families and who are conservative and don\u2019t go for all the nonsense they are peddling, and there are —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I have to stop you there, Nelda, \u2019cause I\u2019m just out of time, but I don\u2019t know how to thank you. That is a profound compliment that I appreciate greatly what you said. Thank you so much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, I want to thank Nelda from Clear Field, Utah — and, folks, we got her contact information and we are going to be sending… She has 50 grandkids, 50 great-grandkids — 50 grandkids and great-grandkids combined — and we are going to send her some Rush Revere gear, some books and so forth. I had one of those hard breaks at the bottom of the hour that time does not move for; they\u2019re inflexible. And I know that sounded rude, and I didn\u2019t mean to be rude. <\/p>\n

You all know I\u2019m not rude. I also got an e-mail from a guy. Now, this is interesting to me. “Rush, that was really heartfelt what you said at the top of your second hour, thanking the audience. But when you talk about how well your book is doing, don\u2019t you think you\u2019re hurting sales? Because, I mean, you\u2019re telling people how well it\u2019s going; maybe they don\u2019t think they have to go out and buy it.”<\/p>\n

I said, “No, I don\u2019t think that at all. In fact, it\u2019s just the exact opposite.” But I\u2019m not gonna worry about that. The point is… I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t want to be too repetitive here. I just don\u2019t know how to express my appreciation. You\u2019ve made… This is the third Rush Revere book in the series, and not only did it show #1 after the first day of the release, but the first two books are still going gangbusters as well, because people are finding them in the process. <\/p>\n

No, we want as many people as possible to buy them. That\u2019s why these books are priced… I don\u2019t want to say low. They\u2019re affordable. They\u2019re not 20 bucks like most hardcover books can be. They\u2019re reasonably priced. The mission is to get this message, the message of the founding of the country into as many hands — and thus minds — as possible. So, no. I\u2019m not afraid that thanking you all for what you\u2019ve done is gonna stymie the sales effort. Quite the opposite in fact. <\/p>\n
