RUSH: It\u2019s Dmitri in Burlington, Kentucky. I\u2019m glad you called, Dmitri. It\u2019s great to have you with us today. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi. Hi, Rush. I\u2019ve been reading the books to the kids, and we just went — I took my oldest daughter and her younger sister — to Washington, DC, and we\u2019ve been reading the books while there. But my oldest wanted to make a request of you, if that\u2019s all right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sure. By all means. She can ask anything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Here she is. It\u2019s Emily.<\/p>\n

<\/a>EMILY: Hello, Rush. It\u2019s good to be on. I\u2019m 11 years old, and I\u2019ve got a request for you, but first I\u2019d like to tell you a couple things. My dad has been reading your books to my sisters and I, and we just got the new one on Tuesday. I\u2019m really excited, and we love the books because they teach us about the history and at the same time the lives of the kids who are there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You like the characters. You like the characters in the books.<\/p>\n

EMILY: Yeah, I love \u2019em. (giggles) I love Liberty.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Everybody loves Liberty.<\/p>\n

EMILY: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Liberty\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

EMILY: He\u2019s a great character.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Getting a big head now, but everybody loves him.<\/p>\n

EMILY: Yep. Well, we just got home from Washington, DC, this morning, and it is fun to know about the Founding Fathers of America. We went to museums and got to share with friends what we knew and to learn more about them.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s great. That\u2019s great that you\u2019re getting to do this.<\/p>\n

EMILY: Yeah. My question is, could you make animated movies out of the books?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, Emily, it\u2019s interesting that you ask that question, because when I get questions like this, “Are you gonna do another book? Are you going to do a cartoon?” sometimes I can\u2019t divulge the future and commit to things because I don\u2019t know that we\u2019re actually gonna do them. But in this case I can tell you that my wife, Kathryn, is burning with desire to create animated versions of these books. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s something that we really, really want to do. <\/p>\n

I can\u2019t say for sure that we will, anything can happen, and I don\u2019t know a time frame. So I don\u2019t want to tell you “yes” for sure and have you be disappointed. But you can be confident that it\u2019s something we really, really want to do and have already begun looking into. It would be another way for the readers, people to enjoy the message of the book and spread the word, so to speak. <\/p>\n

So I\u2019m glad you like it. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s Tiffany in Ringo, Georgia. Hi, Tiffany. I\u2019m glad you called. It\u2019s great to have you on the program. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. It\u2019s wonderful to be with you today. I probably tried to call over 500 times and finally got through yesterday, and Snerdley had me call back today. So I\u2019m really excited to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Congratulations. I\u2019m glad you did.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My husband and I are small business owners, we home-school our children, and through our business and raising our kids we want to show them through hard work that they can accomplish anything and that they can help other people through their accomplishments. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Excellent.<\/p>\n

\"original\"<\/a>CALLER: What we were really excited about was back in November of last year when you came out with your first book, Brave Pilgrims<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We told people that we were so excited the book was coming out, and we actually got two or three copies for gifts, and we read them. My kids have loved them. Next my kids got Exceptional Americans<\/a>, and yesterday we got the American Revolution, and we are so excited to start this book. We just to want to thank you for putting it out there that, through history, the Americans — the people of this country — have worked hard.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They have accomplished so much. We should be proud of our country. We should be proud of where we came from, and who we are, and I know I am. My children — who, of course, I love very much because they\u2019re mine — through your books, they have just loved Liberty\u2019s sarcasm, his wit. The kids will just crack up when we\u2019re reading the books at night, and they find him just fascinating.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (chuckles) Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My daughter came up with an idea, and I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ve done it yet or not. But she would love to see Liberty become a stuffed animal, and you sell him through the Rush Revere website <\/a>and help raise money for the military and for your nonprofit organization that you have.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we ran the idea by Liberty, and he resents being stuffed.<\/p>\n
