RUSH: Hey.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I appreciate all your comments, and I appreciate the job you\u2019ve been doing the last 25 or so years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: In light of what Mr. Gruber said about how stupid he thinks we are, I wonder if ex-Speaker Pelosi must have thought that the entire Democrat Party was stupid because she lied to them as well. And in light of the election results and the fact that the Democrat Party doesn\u2019t have much leadership, isn\u2019t there even one Democrat representative that has enough courage or integrity who\u2019s willing to stand up to the lame duck — or lame quack president about this law?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, maybe. I don\u2019t know about Obamacare<\/a>, but I think Joe Manchin of West Virginia might switch parties. He\u2019s giving off some indications. But you mentioned Pelosi. There\u2019s a story on Pelosi in The Politico today in which she says, “‘I do not believe what happened the other night is a wave. There was no wave of approval for the Republicans.<\/line><\/p>\n

“‘I wish them congratulations, they won the election, but there was no wave of approval for anybody. There was an ebbing, an ebb tide, for us.\u2019 … Pelosi said she\u00c2\u2019s needed now more than ever. … From plans to harness her power among fellow Democrats to keep her job as minority leader, to digging in on Obamacare<\/a> and the party\u00c2\u2019s economic messaging, Pelosi is setting up her party to fight to take back the House in 2016…”<\/p>\n

She said, “‘Quite frankly, if we would have won, I would have thought about leaving,\u2019 [and] Pelosi said she\u00c2\u2019s needed now more than ever.” So (translated): “We get shellacked, I\u2019ve been totally rejected; that means I\u2019ve gotta stay. If we had won, and been resoundingly approved and welcomed, I\u2019d have probably quit.” That\u2019s how brilliant this woman is! There\u2019s not a Democrat that\u2019s gonna stand up, Lee. <\/p>\n

Those days are gone, the days where… What you\u2019re talking about is, “Is there not an adult anywhere in this party that\u2019s gonna stand up and…?” No. Even among those who\u2019ve been vanquished, even among those who\u2019ve been defeated, no way. It\u2019s not your dad\u2019s Democrat Party, anymore. It\u2019s certainly not your grandfather\u2019s Democrat Party, anymore. This Democrat Party has undergone a dramatic radical shift. <\/p>\n

I don\u2019t even think calling it the Democrat Party is descriptive enough. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s too confusing. The Democrat Party used to stand for things that a lot of people, good or bad, really believed in. Today\u2019s Democrat Party doesn\u2019t stand for anything that\u2019s uplifting or inspiring. It\u2019s just… I think this party has transformed so much and has become so radicalized that it\u2019s confusing to call \u2019em Democrats, because that doesn\u2019t quite state what they\u2019ve become and who they really are anymore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
