\"Listen<\/a><\/p>\n

RUSH: So just to review, you notice what\u2019s going on today, folks, on the very day Jonathan Gruber is testifying before a House committee about all the things he said in which he lied and admitted the American people are stupid and they relied on that to trick the American people. He went into detail on the Cadillac Tax on top drawer health plans, a Democrat on the committee, a former union guy just laid into him over that.<\/p>\n

We have that going on, but hardly anybody notices because Di Fi has released her report on what a rotten country the United States was back when George W. Bush was president and how we, if we\u2019re not vigilant, will remain a rotten place. She released her report today, read from it on the floor of the Senate, making it very clear that we have a lot of explaining to do to the world, that we committed gross human rights violations, and we\u2019ve got a lot of ground to cover before we can ever expect the rest of the world to respect us again. <\/line><\/p>\n

And shortly after, Jack in the Box John McCain stood up and basically endorsed what she had said with a couple of caveats. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So, anyway, anyway, Clinton, 1998, attacked a Tylenol factory in the Sudan to distract the American public from the Lewinsky scandal, remember that? At the time we were told it might be a munitions plant. We were told it might be a weapons of mass destruction installation. Clinton launched that and it turned out it was aspirin or Tylenol or something. And that begot a movie, essentially, called Wag the Dog. <\/p>\n

Make it up, produce a war, get B-roll footage of two sides shooting each other, put it on TV, claim it\u2019s an actual ongoing war and get people all focused on it to distract their attention from what you\u2019re doing. First responders, can\u2019t forget, first responders just a few years ago were America\u2019s greatest heroes. After 9\/11, the first responders, man, were they celebrated. Today, first responders are now the focus of evil in a country that\u2019s gone off the tracks. Primarily the cops. <\/line><\/p>\n

Our military tortures people abroad. White police abuse African-Americans at home and in the streets. That\u2019s the narrative today. That\u2019s the media narrative today. If you want to know what the news is, the daily soap opera script today, I\u2019ve just described it to you. In a way you could say it\u2019s a playbook from the sixties. And of course people in the sixties are now adults and they\u2019ve got their own nostalgia and they think it\u2019s cool to relive those days so now they\u2019re doing it from the position that they once hated, power. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Wow, Rush, it\u2019s a great honor to talk to you. I\u2019ve never done this before.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir. It\u2019s great to have you here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not usually one who does something like this, but today I\u2019m just fed up. I did 21 years as a pilot in the Army, and my daughter just had a baby yesterday, and she\u2019s bringing her home so I have to go soon. But they\u2019re willing to sacrifice my grandkids for political gain, when they can go out and get the information to save us, should something like this happen. And the people we\u2019ve elected in Congress, the ones that are there, are afraid to stand up and put a stop to this crap. I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m just really angry.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I understand you being angry, a lot of people are, because when this was going on, the Democrats — you know, Pelosi is misrepresenting. She was told, the Democrats got reports of what was going on, and they didn\u2019t object. They didn\u2019t object when it was happening because we\u2019re in the heat of the moment. Everybody knew back then we had to find out what these people knew. We had to head off future attacks. But then shortly after that, the whole anti-Bush, anti-Iraq war and even anti-War on Terror Democrat objective began, and so it was all in for all criticism of anybody who had anything to do with the war effort because it was coming up on election time, and the Democrat Party, nothing is sacred, and so it became time to throw these people overboard.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I don\u2019t understand, you know, if we keep going the way we\u2019re going going, we might as well pull the flag down and raise a white sheet.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, let me just tell you, Obama has — I\u2019ve got it somewhere in the Stack here — obviously I didn\u2019t intend to get to it now or it\u2019d be at the top of the Stack. But Obama has ordered the DOJ or the DOJ with Obama\u2019s approval has ordered that criminal records of people seeking visas either for a long period of time or even permanently are to be ignored now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t get it. I don\u2019t understand it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I can tell you. I\u2019m blue in the face explaining this, but people like Obama and the Democrat Party today believe this country is so flawed from the days of its founding that we owe all of the people of this world that we\u2019ve denied admittance to our country. We are responsible for the fact that they\u2019re criminals. We are responsible for their behavior because we have been so mean because we have had such punishing laws. We\u2019re responsible and it\u2019s time we face the music. It\u2019s time that we face the consequences of how discriminatory and biased and racist we have been as a nation for over 200 years. That\u2019s why the floodgates are open to anybody and everybody.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I go back to the phones to Bend, Oregon. This is Tom. You\u2019re next, sir. Great to have you with us. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, thank you. Been listening since Sacramento. My question is, why don\u2019t we have pictures of ISIS and what they\u2019re doing to children, beheading the women and children there like they did with the Abu Ghraib pictures?<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is a very good question. It\u2019s a very interesting question. Have you noticed, Tom, that every anniversary of 9\/11, something isn\u2019t shown. If you notice, we don\u2019t any longer on the major cable and broadcast networks, there may be an exception at Fox now, we do not see footage of the planes hitting the twin towers. We don\u2019t see footage of people leaping out of the buildings, plunging to their deaths to avoid being burned alive. We don\u2019t see any of that. <\/p>\n

We don\u2019t see the beheadings. It\u2019s just too gross. We\u2019re not capable of it, not capable of dealing with it, it\u2019s too horrific. But your point is well taken. One of the reasons that that video footage isn\u2019t shown is precisely so that the American people will, over time, forget the intensity of the acts and the horrors, no question about that. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Ruth in Portland, Oregon. Welcome, Ruth. Glad you waited. Great to have you on the show. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019m so glad you took my call. Thank you very much. First I want to say dittos from my mother, who\u2019s a longtime listener. She turned 90. She raised 13 kids, and she survived criminal corruption in Multnomah County Probate Court, so a shout out to Madeleine. Thank you. I think that this is gonna backfire them doing this, releasing this. Americans are sick of listening to how terrible we are to these people that are beheading Americans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How\u2019s it gonna backfire?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Americans are just sick of it. They\u2019re going to see more and more of this administration as trying to stir up sympathy for the terrorists who are chopping off our heads and chopping off children\u2019s heads, and there\u2019s actually people that — I work out in the public, and people are just, they\u2019re rising up anger.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know. What are they going to do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: And then to say that sleep deprivation and Ensure is torture, okay, let\u2019s talk to the Americans that are trying to figure out how to pay their bills and ask us how much sleep deprivation we\u2019ve had. And as far as Ensure, I give that to my mom on doctor\u2019s orders for good nutrition. You want to torture \u2019em, give \u2019em Michelle\u2019s lunch program food.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) That happens to be true. These terrorists at Gitmo do eat better than school kids eating the Michelle Obama menu. But look, wait a minute, now, Ruth hang on. You said the American people are fed up, they\u2019ve had it. What are they gonna do? They voted. Didn\u2019t change anything. What are they gonna do, Ruth, after they get mad? How\u2019s it gonna backfire? How is this gonna backfire on Dianne Feinstein? How\u2019s it gonna backfire on the Democrats? How\u2019s it gonna backfire on McCain who stood up and basically endorsed most of it? How is it gonna backfire on anybody?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know what I\u2019d like to see, I\u2019d actually like to see Americans just light up Washington, DC, their Senators and everybody, just tell \u2019em they\u2019re fed up with it, and just tell \u2019em —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Been doing that for 10 years. (crosstalk)<\/p>\n

CALLER: — it\u2019s gonna help, let\u2019s get rid of them completely.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We just did.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — wipe them out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s a break wall. We just did. We just got rid of more Democrats in two elections than we got rid of in 50 years.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re not done, though. You know, there needs to be accountability. Let\u2019s light up the switchboards at the media outlets.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That isn\u2019t gonna matter. You know what, Ruth — I love Ruth\u2019s optimism. All you gotta do is express your anger and magic happens. It works for the left. It doesn\u2019t work for us. Ruth, I\u2019m gonna tell you what. I want you to conduct a little test here. You talk about lighting up the switchboards and the media outlets, pick a network, call \u2019em up, complain about something. Complain about the coverage of something. I don\u2019t care what it is. And if they talk to you, which they won\u2019t, but if they do they will thank you and tell you, “Yes, ma\u2019am, yes, ma\u2019am, three bags full, you\u2019re an idiot because you don\u2019t know enough to know how we do what we do here. And we don\u2019t do what we do for you anyway. If you don\u2019t like it, don\u2019t watch it.” And then they\u2019ll hang up on you. <\/p>\n

You do that, and you repeat it, and then after, if you\u2019re really colorful enough, they\u2019ll end up talking about you in the break room, in the newsroom at the network, and they\u2019ll start making fun of this lady that called us from Portland. Do you believe we really care what they think about what\u2019s going on in Portland? This woman tells me that we\u2019re lying and we\u2019re biased, and they\u2019ll just laugh at you and make fun of you because they don\u2019t do the news for you, Ruth. They do the news for the approval of other journalists and Obama. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush. It\u2019s an honor and a pleasure to talk to you. I\u2019ve actually listened to you probably since I was four or five in the car with my mom.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s great. I really do appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just wanted to comment on you\u2019ve been making a point all day about how liberalism and a lot of the low-information voters that don\u2019t perceive or understand the real world, whether it\u2019s the police shootings or the torture thing that\u2019s going on now, it\u2019s just incredible to me how they don\u2019t understand. They accuse us of participating in torture, as you pointed out multiple times, hijacking the language. What we do is just barely considered torture. If they want to say we wrong the world, we need to explain ourselves to the world, look at other techniques that we don\u2019t use because of what they do, whether you want to look at the Soviets\u2019 use of sensory deprivation. Some of the terror cells have been found to use extremity burning, where you burn an extremity and then poke, prod at it, burn again. It\u2019s just amazing that — all waterboarding is is a fear tactic. And the scaled-up version of what we do is good cop\/bad cop. Bad cop comes in, he\u2019s mad, he\u2019s angry, good cop comes in, you want to play nice.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but see, the way they would react to you, “Oh, okay Seth, so we\u2019re no better than the Soviets. You want to use the Soviets and their gulags, well, that\u2019s about what we were doing at Guantanamo Bay, and Dick Durbin said so.” But they would come at you and say, “This is our point. We aren\u2019t the Soviets and that\u2019s not who we are, and just because they do it doesn\u2019t mean we should do it, or doesn\u2019t mean that we shouldn\u2019t feel really good about ourselves because we don\u2019t get close to what they do.” But that\u2019s not what this is about. This is about the ongoing criticism of America. It really is no more complicated than that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
